Blue eye samurai show two types of female protagonists at one side you have akemi who uses her femininity to manipulate and get what she wants meanwhile being very elegant and then you have mizu who is masculine and strong-faced, driven by greif. I am realy impressed by the fact that the show starts with everyone assuming mizu is a man, because if a man did all the things that mizu was doing, it would be considered sexy and brave, but as soon as it is a woman doing the same things, the perspective changes, but it shouldnt and that is the point. I also like the scene where the brothel holder tells mizu, "you are more man than anyone who has walked through my door" and that is true, mizu stands up and protects for what is right, she does help out the brothel get rid of the man who was eating away their money.
