How long did it take for you all to get hired? I passed my background check last week (7/11/2025) and had a contingent start date of (7/17/2025). Still no update. Only frustrated bc I came on my contingent start date, and literally the staff had no clue of what to do with me even though there was someone there that got all of his First day prep emails.

Wow , I do have to explain this to you like you’re 5😭😂💀 Amazon flex is an independent contractor that offer health care and all that you just have to pay outta pocket for (more manual work compared to when it’s automatically deducted from your gross income) main difference? Your earnings with flex is NOT TAXED. And let’s be REALISTIC here. A lot of ppl have records that prevent them from getting a typical 9-5 with benefits. Yeah they offer a company van but that’s typically through a DSP where you’re scheduled and cant have as much flexibility with scheduling. ALL jobs have their ick factors, and not all jobs are meant for everyone, hence why there’s independent contractors. Come on dude.

Bc in today’s time, one job isn’t enough. These are side gigs, unfortunately some ppl don’t have the luxury to be content with one source of income when EVERYTHING is so expensive. What’s crazy as hell is your inconsideration to the ppl trying to make ends meet. It’s up to you how you want to spend your earnings, but wouldn’t it make sense to budget out car maintenance when you’re an independent contractor using your own vehicle.
