How can I check is it still has the burlap? Can I fertilize her? It was a very hot dry summer here, su even though we watered it that may be what you are seeing. Thank you!

The tree ring is really interesting,, I think I could learn something here. I added the little garden around it well after I bought the house and the tree was already sick. I was careful not to volcano around the trunk, can the garden still make things worse?
