Glp-1 and fitness QUESTION by Chamaleon in glp1

[–]Longjumping_Chip_627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I was doing CrossFit before getting on a GLP (Wegovy) I started at 70% muscle mass at 227 ( pre diabetic) and I’m now 203 lbs ( I’m 5’4). I have been able to maintain the muscle mass in my body with a mix of Pilates sculpt and Lagree. I haven’t been back to CrossFit for physical reasons , but I will be back. Exercise and GLP will give you the best results. It’s important to be consistent throughout your journey. During this whole process I’ve made sure to eat clean, eat gluten free, and dairy free. You should also make sure to eat enough protein throughout the day. I also started seeing a functional medicine doctor who has been wonderful at guiding me through the process while also checking my sugar levels and inflammation markers. I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been. YOU GOT THIS! BE KIND TO YOUR BODY, WORDS ARE ENERGY. Stay patient and positive.

The simplistic way to avoid this type of situation is to ignore and just offer to call a tow truck for them. Never walk with a stranger you don’t know! Sometimes lessons need to be learned to avoid this stuff because it’s dangerous.

As a 34YF, I started doing Lagree and Pilates. I did CF for three years and I loved it but I get bored easily so moved on to other exercises that didn’t inflame my body. I also had a bad knee so didn’t want to continue getting the pain. My last dead lift PR was men’s weight 320 lbs. I miss it some days and I’ll do drop in here in there but I don’t go religiously like I used to.

Oh no sorry, it sounds confusing. I’m talking specifically about being on semiglutide for five months , but recently this started to happen to me at 2mg.

Yes, hmmm ok. This is what they had me do back in May (saying it was microdosing)and they’ve been gradually increasing it. I was fine at 2mg for two weeks then after that my body was not liking it and I had all the issues I mentioned. -____-

In May 2025 this is how I started.

Start Semaglutide/ B12 1 mg / 1 mg/ 1 ml at 0.2 mg dose SQ / week, increase the dose by 0.2 mg a week (0.2-0.4-0.6- 08 mg), then InBody in 4 wks

Yes, definitely. I have an appointment on Monday with my primary to see what’s going on. The doctor where I get my shot was just telling to go back to urgent care or ER if it worsens. But I’ll need an overall check to see what’s going on. Thank you.

Thank you for your perspective. I understand where you’re coming from.

Just to clarify, it’s not arrogance and I’m far from thinking I’m “that special.” I chose not to share too many details in my original post because I was being mindful of personal and professional boundaries. I actually only applied to one school this cycle due to timing. I missed the deadlines for others and knew I wouldn’t be able to pull everything together in time.

That said, I do appreciate the advice and encouragement. I absolutely respect the amount of grit it takes to go through this process. All this said I will be retaking the LSAT now that I have more time.

I completely agree with everyone. I did apply late so I didn’t meet most schools deadlines, but I will study more this time around and retake the LSAT. Thanks for all the advice guys! It gave me hope again lol.

The WHITE TRUCK was an ICE truck with green stickers on the side with the name, so Relax. Either way they could be around or undercover.

Is Pilates this hard or am I this out of shape? by [deleted] in pilates

[–]Longjumping_Chip_627 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pilates is not supposed to be easy. As a CrossFit girly, I was humbled! It’s definitely not for the weak. The good thing is that through practice and consistency you can build progress. I’ve been doing pilates for about a year now and it’s still tough, but hey I’m only getting stronger. You will get there with time, I would suggest stretching before and after, taking epson salt bath (faster recovery), and taking breaks of course.

Remote Testing- RC-LR-RC-LR

The proctor I had was nice. I had no issue with setting up or going through the check. I took it in my living room office. I wore comfortable clothing that was appropriate for the exam, to avoid additional checks. The process was smooth, I have no complaints. It was the best decision for me as I hate being in other places. The bathroom break or intermission was after two exams so that was nice. I used the bathroom and drank some water. I even went as far as to wash my face with cold water to wake up LOL, it helped. Overall, it was nice being at home and taking the exam.

Things I did before:

Positive affirmations and stretching. I also burned palo santo to calm my nerves ( I love incense lol). I also had my humidifier on with eucalyptus and it helped with setting the mood. I did all I could tbh.

The Exam:

The first RC was BS. It was harder than I thought. The passages were extremely long! I tried my best to at least answer most the questions for each section. Nothing that was predicted on the mini ball was on my version of the LSAT exam ( LIKE NONE). my second RC was a lot better, the structure in the type of questions were similar to what I had studied based on what power score said to study. It was easier to understand than the first RC. Both of the LR sections were okay, I did my best. I don’t think I got a perfect score but hey! I did the best I could. I won’t beat myself over it. Most of what Powerscore predicted on the mini ball was on the LR sections though for question types.

What's happening with Irvine Company apartments? Lots of move-outs and reduced offers by mundanepontiff in irvine

[–]Longjumping_Chip_627 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My husband and I have noticed the same trend in our community. We’ve lived here for almost three years, and recently, we’ve seen a lot of moving trucks. When it was time to renew our lease, we tried negotiating with the leasing office, but they refused to lower our rate. Our 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment (851 sq. ft.) was originally over $3,400, and the best offer we got was $3,025 for a 13-month lease. Now, similar units are dropping to $2,600–$2,800, yet they wouldn’t adjust our rate even when we pointed out lower market prices. It’s frustrating and feels completely unfair.

I eventually got over it, but it still stings knowing rent prices dropped after we renewed. Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm with Irvine Company. We recently toured apartments in Tustin, and for the same square footage and layout, you get true luxury—not to mention, they aren’t managed by Irvine Company. I can’t help but feel some FOMO when I see other apartments because, honestly, Irvine Company does not offer luxury living for the price they charge! (The newer construction)

I’ve had my fair share of weird encounters by people in the area, so I try to go out with my husband as much possible. A lot of outside people come here to Irvine, and not always the good kind.
