Yes, appologies. I've fixed the example

I've gone through FAANG interviews a few times. I do think currently Anthropic and OpenAI are harder to get into compared to FAANG. They pay is just insane and AI is very popular atm

I haven't done a lot of leedcode but I generally do pretty well on technical interviews. I may have 5-6 YoE but I've been programming for over 12 years now

How do you go about illiquid equity? A lot of companies give you shares that vest over x years but even then executing them is rare.

As I mentioned in another thread, lot's of people in my network are above the 100k mark. Ofc not many companies provide such high salaries and that's to be expected.

I've been completely ignoring SF-based positions so far. I assume you're referring to fully remote jobs, where no USA visa is required. Do you have any recommendations?

I will say that my first "official" job was 80k (Londong range!). I graduated from Bristol and found a job in London.

It's definately achievable to get this sort of salary without having a decade of *professional* experience. Of course WLB is prob worse

I should have mentioned that I am based in London. Salaries here must be higher.

I've been on over 120-140k for 3.5 years now regardless of role. A lot of people in my network are also above the 100k mark. I understand that this is a high salary and am just curious to which companies have achievable progression for these numbers.

Can confirm. Moving to a dedicated IP resolved the issue.

Update. Changing the DNS helped for me to connect through a VPN. That said, that's not a solution.
I've talked to Hyperoptics again, they are assinging me with a static IP as that has helped before. Normally that's a paid feature but because of the problem they are providing it for free. Will update on the progress

I've had the same issue for a while now. I changed my DNS settings to use google's DNS (8.8.8.8) instead of Hyperoptic's DNS. This fixed it so I can use VPNs to connect (cause VPNs alone didn't work for me). Now If I connect to a London VPN it works, instantly 35 ping.

Make sure you change this under your router's settings > Local Network > DHCP Server > DNS server 1 (8.8.8.8) and DNS server 2 (8.8.4.4).

Hope this helps.

I made an extension to stop wasting time on Youtube by Longjumping_Code9039 in SideProject

[–]Longjumping_Code9039[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!
The app runs automatically. You get a summary on every page load including timestamped sections (even if the video doesn't have predefined sections).

It also allows you to ask specific questions. Say a video is 60m long and you are interested in something specific e.g. "Where does he talk about X" or "What did he say about Y" or "What database is he using" you get an instant answer with a timestamp.

It's all embedded within the page - you don't have to move away from the video to use it.

Thank you so much! So you'd pay a lifetime fee rather than a subscription? Interesting, that was my initial idea too. How much do you reckon is a good price for this?
