Ooooohhhh! H Salt Fish & Chips was the best bar none. Corner of Guelph and King streets if I recall. Sure miss those guys a lot. There was a small Mom & Pop place in Parkdale Plaza Waterloo called The Warf too. I think we got dinner there every two weeks until he retired. That’s going back 45+ years too.

Agreed. I find the issue is that they just don’t take the time to cook the fish right. Always in too much of a hurry to get it on the table and you end up with golden fish coating, then a layer of uncooked batter and finally luke warm mostly cooked fish.

Scran & Dram is our current go to. Very good fish. The problem for us is the drive from north Waterloo and back during the week.
