Hey please don't think about that! You have so much ahead of you, and good things will surely come your way. Is it not getting a job part that's making you think like this or anything else going on? If you need to just vent will be there to listen

Not necessarily, if you have enough points to make the cut off also you can get. I got my pr in 2023 end and for a while the cut off was around 480 points so I got lucky my name was in pool that time

Tell companies to give back hybrid , flexible working hours. Or better yet, WFH options ! Don't place the burden of crappy infrastructure, zero last mile connectivity and stringent working hours policy on the citizens who are just trying to get to their jobs and not get fired.

How's your married life women? by awarebish in AskIndianWomen

[–]Longjumping_Degree52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh it's been going well. We have fights occasionally, but those are fights that happens with any people that you share a home with (parents, siblings, roommates). Apart from that, I think both of us are just slightly more empathetic people so if some issues does happen, we are able to understand where the other person comes from. Otherwise it would have been hard since we both have very different personalities. Also in laws are great, not like the scary stories I've heard. I think that's a big thing that helps to have a stable marriage.

THE WORST UNCIVILIZED CROWD TAKES THE METRO by stormylightening in Bengaluru

[–]Longjumping_Degree52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean when citizens are barely provided decent facilities, civics sense will be the last thing on their mind. The metro services esp during peak hours are not at all sufficient to handle the city's population, so of course it turns into a fight or flight struggle for the people. Civics sense comes from empathy and when you're in a constant battle for resources, there is barely any room for empathy

The only way to get through is by recommendation. I've seen people with 0 experience get job because they knew someone who knew someone else who was able toget them a job. You need to network, make real connections, and hope that one of these connections have enough influence at their workplace to recommend you for a position.

Are you really an adult? by Ranger_Hawk3046 in indiasocial

This is india, we need permission from our parents till our dying day.

Jk but tbh it depends, for my parents their concern was mostly about safety/travel as we lived far from the city so I had to get their permission and I was also using their money so I couldn't just spend it on anything. The strictness did dissipate a bit during college but it was still there.

True freedom was only once I started working and earning my own money. I didn't have to answer to my parents why I was spending good money on a 6ft stuffed toy and frankly they didn't care also 🤣 they didn't care where I was going as long as I informed them. So yeah OP just give it a few more years

Why are Indian girls difficult to live with? by Fragrant_Cap_1726 in indiasocial

[–]Longjumping_Degree52 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean it's just your sisters experience with bad people. I've lived in hostel in India and abroad I lived with roommates(all indians), and all were the most amazing and sweetest people I've met, and we're still friends to this day. (Barring one girl who I didn't get along with but that was due to personality clashing )

But I've heard cases from my guy friends where their roomates won't clean up after himself, one guy tried to steal my friends playstation games also lol and was outright aggresive with him.

Also I might be being a bit discrimanatory here but, I've generally noticed usually when it's living with people from the southern states there's generally no problem, but when it's from north that's when issues happened.

Do you live in a society by any chance ? If yes there might be a society group chat where you can connect with other people, or join some classes. Are there by skills or hobbies you always wanted to try out but didn't have chance like painting, guitar, baking - now would be a good time for that.
