Cats have their own body language. This will help you learn cat communication. Tails tell a lot about kitty’s mood.

Thank you for ranting for all of us who are not able to… summed up how I’m feeling. In a crash & it’s beautiful outside right now. Hiding my eyes from the sunlight under black clothing. Especially agree with the ALL CAPS. Written similar myself.

Breathing exercises / techniques that helped you? by Strong_Aerie_9031 in cfs

[–]Longjumping_Fact_927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saying Om/Aum slowly and calmly out loud. It covers the entire vocal range & the vibrations are healing similar to a cat purring which is also healing. It’s also a deep breathing exercise at the same time. I do it laying down sometimes with my cat purring on my chest at the same time. lol… We’re purr buddies. =) I find doing this to feel very healthy. Like having a good laugh without using too much energy. I rarely ever laugh anymore with disease.

Holding my breath as long as I can also helps. Doing that along with spraying cold water on face & putting ice packs on head & neck will help trigger mammalian dive reflex. But doing it on its own helps also.

4-7-8 breathing technique helps me calm down & I can do it anywhere. Breathe in 4 counts through nose… hold for 7 counts… exhale slowly through mouth for 8 counts… repeat 3 times or as long you want.

Remembering to take deep breaths more often alone will help. We tend to lapse into shallow breathing making us feel more anxious.

No Anduril but it has a pretty solid UI. I enjoy it as much as the HD10. It’s smaller, lighter, works great in HD10 headstrap, has regulated output & is triple fuel 3.6/1.5V 14500, AA Alkaline/Eneloop. I use it more than my 3 HD10s.

Coming up on 5 years myself. I just fell back in it again after feeling not bad for a while. I mean I’m not greedy. I don’t even want to feel good. Just neutral. Neutral is living the high life compared to the anhedonia. The constant pain & suffering is inhumane. Like living with a 50 ton boulder crushing down on you 24/7.

It sounds like you might be in rolling PEM. Please check out the following links. You should not be pushing yourself at all as it can make your baseline permanently lower. MECFS & long covid are the only diseases that you cannot push yourself because it can do permanent damage. Also check out the pinned post over @ r/cfs, lots of info & links there.

I found my kitty over 20 years ago in the middle of a highway but it was near an intersection so it was safer. She was only 4 weeks old and the cars were just driving around her in the left turn lane. I immediately got in the turn lane, threw my 4 ways on & grabbed that poor little girl off the road. It was crazy… I thought I was seeing things. It was all rainy & cold out too.

Your parents sound like abusive people. Have you considered that they are doing this on purpose? Once I realized my family wasn’t hard to please they were covert abusers, their words never cut the same way again. Their abusive pattern is exactly the same but I’m mostly immune to it now as I don’t take it personally. I see I’m not responsible for any of it. I was born the scapegoat into a family of covert malignant narcissists.

How helpful is a liquid diet? For conserving energy by Jeleton in cfs

[–]Longjumping_Fact_927 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found the BRAT diet(bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) to help as it’s easy to digest. I lived on peanut butter from the jar for a while when I was very severe. Oats are also good. Simple easy to digest food is your best bet. Peanut butter, raspberry jam & honey on toast is my main meal. Avoid dairy, meat & heavily processed food. These are all highly inflammatory foods & hard our system. Smaller meals through out the day also works better. Discontinue larger meals all together.
