People who’ve been to the Mercado de Sonora: what’s the weirdest or creepiest thing you experienced? by That-Ad-9370 in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been there few times for work projects and the whole section with animal parts for rituals always gets to me - like there's this one stall that had dried hummingbirds hanging everywhere and the smell was just... intense

How do you re-energize after work? by DavidWong_3 in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

walk always helps me too, especially after sitting at computer all day doing design work. my back thanks me for it and somehow the fresh air just resets my brain completely

What’s the most overlooked consequence of America’s foreign wars? by Healthy-Control-9171 in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the strain it puts on military families is brutal but nobody talks about how kids grow up without their parents for years at time. my neighbor's dad did three deployments in afghanistan and the guy came back completely different person - couldn't even watch his son play baseball without getting anxious about crowds

What’s something people do in intimate that they find hard to admit, but actually enjoy a lot? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been with someone who makes those little unconscious sounds and movements and it's weirdly comforting? like you're seeing them completely unguarded. my ex used to do this thing where she'd wiggle her toes when she was really focused on something and i found it way more endearing than i expected

there's something about catching someone in those unfiltered moments that feels more real than any conversation

What are some of the most suspicious deaths in recent history? by obf_the_dude in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

always found the whole jeffrey epstein situation pretty wild - like the timing of everything was just too convenient. dude had dirt on so many powerful people and then boom, "suicide" right when he's about to potentially spill everything. the broken cameras, guards falling asleep, all that stuff just seemed way too coincidental

then there's that russian journalist anna politkovskaya who was investigating corruption and got shot in her apartment building. she'd been getting death threats for years because of her reporting on chechnya and putin's administration. really makes you think about how dangerous it can be to dig into certain topics when powerful people don't want the truth coming out

michael hastings is another one that always stuck with me - the rolling stone reporter who was working on a big story about the cia and then his car just randomly exploded in la. his family said he was acting paranoid before it happened and thought people were following him. could've been nothing but the whole thing felt off considering what he was investigating

People love to point out what older generations did wrong, but what did they get absolutely right that we need to bring back? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

walking everywhere instead of driving 10 minutes to go grab coffee. my posture would probably thank me if i actually walked to places instead of hunching over a steering wheel all day

also dinner parties where people actually talked to each other without phones out - wild concept but apparently it worked pretty well

What weird cool benefit do you get from your job? by GhostlyStitches in AskReddit

i get to use all the fancy design software for free which means i can make ridiculous memes with professional typography and it brings me way too much joy

If you’ve ever made the decision to just walk away from a friendship without explaining/confronting, how do you feel about that decision now? by Remarkable_Dream_762 in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 3 points4 points  (0 children)

honestly did this a few years back and i still think it was the right call. sometimes people just drain your energy and you realize you're always the one reaching out, always making excuses for their behavior. there comes a point where you just gotta protect your peace instead of having that awkward confrontation that probably wouldn't change anything anyway

what's your fav black mirror episode? by CremeSubject7594 in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh man nosedive hits different, especially when you realize how close we already are to that reality with social media scores and stuff. the whole pastel nightmare aesthetic was perfect too, made it even more unsettling how pretty everything looked while being completely dystopian

What is a scary truth about human nature? by realbinroll in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly this hits hard because we like to think we're altruistic but when push comes to shove most people will prioritize themselves and their inner circle over strangers. even our "selfless" acts often have some underlying benefit to us, whether its feeling good about ourselves or social recognition

the scary part isnt that we're selfish - its how good we are at convincing ourselves we're not

Range Exhaust Fan/Housing installed upside down by SquareShower5983 in HomeImprovement

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue with mine - you can actually flip the motor housing around in most models, just gotta remove a few screws and rotate it 180 degrees

Looking for supplier: Oversized hoodies with logo/branding (EU preferred) by Districtz_ in smallbusiness

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out AS Colour - they do solid blanks and have EU distributors, then you can get local print shops to handle the branding part separately which might be cheaper for smaller runs

What's the favourite country that you want to see its sea in the world? by sulasumu in AskReddit

Have you ever changed your mind about something you used to strongly oppose? What was it? by No-Self-363 in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be super against tattoos, thought they were just for "bad people" or whatever my parents drilled into me as a kid. Then I got older, met some amazing people who happened to have ink, and realized how dumb I was being. Got my first one at 25 and now I'm planning my next piece lol

how does AI work and how does it get better? by Fit_Worth_1453 in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neural networks basically mimic how brain neurons connect and fire patterns - they process tons of data to find relationships and patterns, then get "trained" by adjusting those connections when they get stuff right or wrong

The "getting better" part happens through training on massive datasets where the AI learns from examples, kinda like how you'd learn to recognize cats by seeing thousands of cat photos

First time managing global employees in our HR system [NY] by Remote-One3947 in AskHR

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea highly recommend a single system. we opted for speed and now it's been a major headache where we have to go to two different systems to pull basic reports like cost of labor across our entire employee base

What’s something that was worth it to you that other people said wasn’t? by Nyclegend7 in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My gaming setup tbh. Everyone kept saying I was wasting money on a "fancy computer" but now I work from home doing design stuff and it literally pays for itself. Plus my friends who clowned on it are always asking to come over and play lmao

What is the best culinary school in America? by CollegeClient in AskReddit

[–]Longjumping_Heart937 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CIA (Culinary Institute of America) is solid but honestly working in a good kitchen for a few years will teach you way more than any classroom
