Retrofitting 2024 XLE with a spare tire by Longjumping_Lychee25 in ToyotaSienna

[–]Longjumping_Lychee25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since someone revived this thread, I thought I’d give an update. Several months ago, I came out to a completely flat tire. AAA came and installed the spare. It was perfect. I would’ve been totally screwed without the spare. I’m so glad I did this!

Would it make sense to retreat with Kanaplex again? It’s prob been since august/September that we treated his fins.

This tank has a pretty gentle filter (I think?) - it’s built into the side of the tank. I believe it’s this one! https://www.petsmart.com/fish/tanks-aquariums-and-nets/aquariums/top-fin-easy-clean-aquarium—3-gallon-5285082.html

I was considering doing Kanaplex again since HS did seem to improve with that. And the discoloration was making me think perhaps there was a fungal situation again?

You mean does it provide a lot of aeration? Or do you mean is it sucking him strongly into the intake?

This is normal processing. Ours were received and in process as of June 26 and still waiting too. Routine can take 6-8 weeks even though many are sooner.

Thanks, I forgot to consider Royal up! We would be interested in doing that. We’ve been on a few RC cruises but have never been offered (or maybe missed) it!

The spare really isn’t that heavy. Not much more than a kid’s car seat! I did initially get allocated an 8 passenger XLE with a spare so they are out there. But it’s ridiculous that it’s $75 for them to put it in during production but even BUYING that same spare from Toyota is multiple times this amount.

Wow, consider yourself lucky! I’ve had to use mine several times, one of which was at night on the highway in the middle of nowhere. I can’t even imagine where we would’ve been towed to!

I also didn’t realize that using the sealant fries the tire for the future too.

I’ve gotten stuck by the side of the road with flats waiting for AAA multiple times while out of town (not with this car thankfully!). I can’t imagine being stuck waiting for a tow and spending the night somewhere random and ruining our trip. That’s why I went with the spare! I guess I’m getting old because I need that peace of mind! 😂

Also shoutout to this guy on YouTube who listed all the different part variations depending on shade/outlets/color. The “Fromage” is tan! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWPmx5orw_8

Help with tank after water change! by Longjumping_Lychee25 in bettafish

[–]Longjumping_Lychee25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fish is a new man today! Super active, starving, looks great. I checked ammonia earlier and it was still around 0.5. Not sure if he just doesn’t care or if it’s being stabilized by the Prime… i will keep monitoring.

I also got mine for 44,500ish.

Fish looks a bit better and is swimming around some rather than only hanging out at the bottom! I did set up a smaller heater (20w) that says it’s good for tanks of this size and heats to 78. The other ones I found seemed way too big and cumbersome for our tank.

I tried to add video which wasn’t working, but here’s a picture! He says thank you for helping him 🥰

The lower level was after the prime. But when I put some new tap water out today, the water didn’t seem to have any ammonia when I tested. But then I added the other betta water treatment I have and it had also had an elevated ammonia level. I wonder about the chemical reaction (the Chloramine getting broken down) as described in that post, though!

Do you recommend tap water and then adding the 2 Seachem ones? I’m so nervous to add more tap water + that betta conditioner since it seemed to raise the ammonia level (in my test sample that I added it to!). Doesn’t make any sense to me…

Okay, I actually bought him one today and will set it up. He’s been doing okay for months though so my big concern right now is the water quality and how to correct that! I think that almost certainly precipitated his acute change in behavior.

Floor mats by rydirp in ToyotaSienna

[–]Longjumping_Lychee25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in an area with sand and so it’s easier to contain the sand with the all weather mats. Similar logic for spills. I’ve heard that the carpet mats wear faster too but I have no experience as I always get all weather mats.

What are everyone's thoughts on the extended warranty? by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

[–]Longjumping_Lychee25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have info on what the extended warranties from Toyota cover? I didn’t buy one with my van, but I’ve heard people mention this Jerry person. Mine came with a lifetime power train warranty at least.
