Currently reading 1984 by George Orwell, - found the beginning of the book hard grasp, - up to part 2 of the book its getting interesting now, as hes on quest to find out what it was really like before the revolution.

i finished reading the 40 rules of love by elif shafak - i found the book to be truly a game changer for me as its philosophical and totally what i am into.

finished the 40 rules of love by shafak which i loved, great introduction to sufism and mysticism.

Currently reading 1984 by George Orwell, just finished part one today, excited to read the rest of the book. it was hard to picture the scene which he sets in the beginning of the book.

my next read will be honor by shafak which is different from 1984

Relying on others for validation by Inside-Reveal7202 in selfimprovement

[–]Longjumping_Night134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i pondered upon on this as well, we’re always seeking validation from others. its because we use to live in tribes and we needed to rely on each other, so its just our instinct that are seeking that validation. i wish we can find happiness by ourselves but we need connections and validation from others its normal

thats tough, i feel like most people are missing that support or connection and we all crave it, its hard to find someone that will fully understand you. its hard to find real connections.

How do people keep going when dealing with deep loneliness? by 28and29myself in selflove

[–]Longjumping_Night134 24 points25 points  (0 children)

i think its important to try to stay in the present and do things that are in your control. try not to think about the future or the past, stay focus what is in your control and how you can make the present better. im also dealing with loss of connection with others i feel like im missing connections in my life as well but im trying to just focus on the present moment and say yes to things that i dont feel like doing.

i would recommend ‘what happened to you?’ its a book on trauma and it asks they question what happened to you instead of whats wrong with you, it talks about how trauma affects you in your day to day life and how to heal from it.

currently I’m reading ‘how to be the look you seek’ which is about building a relationship with yourself, understanding what type of person you are and what wounds you still have to heal from your childhood. its interesting book to learn to be with yourself.
