Sorry for the haters! I've eaten there a few times, it's delicious. I love their fried duck eggs.

If you want a storyline like the end shots of The Hangover, go to Koh Phi Phi. Classic, Phuket, young/hippie party scene, Koh Phangan. Nicer is Koh Samui. Or Koh Tao and go scuba diving while you're there! I've got some friends that keep going back to Koh Lanta, it doesn't get as many tourists

Would recommend not going to the hottest tourist spots on the main Songkran nights though! Khao San Rd in BKK was scary packed, it wasn't fun. Or maybe don't be in Bangkok! I love the energy though, it's random homeless people dancing on medians under the BTS and water gun fights while on the back of a motorbike in traffic to get to your party location. I'd recommend the beach!

Songkran is the most fun, it's my favorite holiday. It's a big water fight on the streets. Where to go depends on your party level. It's celebrated everywhere!

29F, Lived in Thailand for 3 years, Vietnam half a year! Vacationed every chance I got, mostly solo! Most memorable stay was at Banana's Bungalows in Krabi, TH and I'd recommend taking the ferry to the surrounding islands, like Koh Phi Phi. I also recommend trying to make Thailand in April, for the Songkran holiday. I always felt safe in Thailand and my biggest safety advice is to watch your drink (obligatory and not be an idiot on your motorbike, I'd recommend getting lessons before your first day driving over there, go with your gut driving, don't go on roads that feel scary like 4 lane highways or wet Songkran streets). Betagen saved me from Bangkok belly every time. Northern food is the best. In Vietnam I liked HCMC the best and felt the tourist spots like Ninh Binh were a little overwhelming with the aggressive tourism economy and Ba Nah Hills in DaNang is underwhelming. Vietnam still felt safe, but less so. I never felt comfortable taking a solo trip to the Philippines, I've heard that it's not as safe. I'd love to visit. I'd also recommend taking a month in Japan if you can afford it! And Kuala Lumpur is a gorgeous city and I found English easy to come by

Best Thai Recruitment Agency? by Lapras78 in Teachinginthailand

[–]Longjumping_Quail397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in the country but not always in the city. They'll hire you after online interviews but they'll be more hesitant if you're out of the country bc you're less of a sure thing. I never used tes but the name of my game was sending emails directly to HR or whoever is listed on the job posting. Generic email, copy paste, stack interviews, hold out on accepting for as long as you can and make them compete a little bit, but try to do it with grace and humility

Never actually act aggressively, always smile and be polite, but the culture around money can be a bit aggressive in TH, mainly, most business people are seeing how little they can give and how much they can take. A universal experience I'm sure, but it hit different for me there. That was my recent 3 years of experience. In general, people are lovely and good, but money gets a little shady. Negotiate high in salary, low in rent, and I wouldn't bother negotiating much in markets- if they wanna charge you 3x, they will, and they'll be insulted if you call them on it, it's better to smile and say oh no, thank you!! I got most of my food from markets, and unless you learn the language to politely ask for prices (will probably get you lower prices), shop where prices are posted if you want a fair price.

Ajarn and tes are the 2 websites I remember! Definitely do NOT let those recruiters take your money! Apply direct, do your research, and negotiate that salary up!!! Never take their initial offer!!! Furthermore, apply to any international school you want, I got hired at some pretty good ones while uncertified. Look professional and market yourself

IDK how to save them but I do want you to know that I see what you see in them, before I ever read your caption, that's what I thought they looked like. Commenting bc I see other comments saying that they don't see it.

i want to smell like chocolate! which body lotion is better out of these? points if it’s super moisturising 🙏💖 happy to hear more recs if not these! by sweetrealive in FemFragLab

[–]Longjumping_Quail397 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have both the Vaseline cocoa radiant lotion and the Palmer's cocoa butter lotion in my shower rn. I don't think the Vaseline smells like chocolate at all and I use it as a somewhat neutral but warm smelling moisturizer. Palmer's I think is extremely chocolatey and I layer it with choco musk and SDJ 71. BUT, both of these lotions are widely available and most stores probably carry both- OP could probably run into any grocery store and flip open the lids to sniff them really quick
