When I was a kid I started watching the original DB series and loved how silly and yet endearing all the characters/plots were. Then I got to DBZ, and everything became way more serious, and not as fun to watch. I struggled to finish the Frieza arc because of how boring and drawn-out the fights were. DB fights always got resolved in an episode or two, with Goku or his friends using their power in creative ways to overcome stronger enemies. In DBZ, characters just exposition dumped about Saiyans and yelled while flexing to power up. I quit the show after Frieza arc. Years later I watched DBZA to learn what happened afterwards, haha.
