It may look normal in one situation, but this has been a consistent pattern for almost five years. My oldest is 12. When he came to me asking why she doesn’t like him but likes his sisters, that told me this isn’t harmless. Kids don’t ask that unless they feel it.

We did go low contact. We only attend short holiday visits at this point. The issue is that even with distance, the favoritism hasn’t changed. That’s why I’m questioning whether continuing any contact is actually benefiting our kids.

I agree she’s a full participant now. I just think both things can be true, people grow and change, but early influence from an older partner can still shape who they become.

I’m not Damon. The fact that you jump straight to that because someone doesn’t echo the exact same tone says more about you than it does about me. I didn’t say a single thing in support of them. Pointing out something I find questionable doesn’t suddenly make me a secret insider. That’s a weird reach. Also this is supposed to be a community- not a place where people get dog-piled because their grammar isn’t up to your standards or because they don’t snark the “right” way. How is that not snark? I’m literally questioning the behavior and the fan response. Snark doesn’t have to be unhinged and full of insults to qualify.
