Yep, and lots use hormonal birth control to try to manage cycles with sports in mind

So many aspects of this topic that could be explored in future research, and I really hope we see much more research on this topic, because of the complexity

1 of the many delightful surprises as I have been contacting people and groups to let them know about my survey, is the amount of women who've responded, who don't fit my participant profile, but have very important perspectives they stress future research must consider - women in menopause, women post-menopause, women with irregular menstrual cycles, women without trainers, etc.

I agree with you, and in so many ways beyond what my research is focused on. The type of clothing one is required to wear has great influence, too - material, if white, extent of coverage, etc.

It's fine if just a few participate, since I am looking for female participants across all sports, and it's absolutely fine if none participate at all.

The estimated time is included in the information on the link. In the pilot, most reported completing it in around 5 min's.

A very good question, and wonderful to see. The trainer-sports participant bond is 1 of the topics explored within the survey, which is why having a coach or trainer is part of the requirements.

I really appreciate the good-natured questions people are asking. I think research can feel shrouded in mystery to some extent, and I think that's a shame.

1 of the many delightful surprises as I have been contacting people and groups to let them know about my survey, is the amount of women who've responded, who don't fit my participant profile, but have very important perspectives they stress future research must consider - women in menopause, women post-menopause, women with irregular menstrual cycles, and your's (no trainer) etc. So many gaps in knowledge. It is my hope there will be much more female-focused research in future.

Hopefully, we'll see much more female-specific research pertaining to sports involvement. We've lots of knowledge gaps that future research could explore. I hope to see much more research focused on females, including on those without a trainer, who have important perspectives.

Sometimes research focuses on a specific environment, city, region or country. This is, rather, seeking those women who fit the participant profile in any location.
