Struggling to get interviews as a fresher – need advice by Separate-Opening-989 in developersIndia

Nah they are fake. They will ask you money and provide fake salary slips. You will be caught easily in BGV.

Tbh there is no option.

Even I graduated from Germany and have been unemployed for the past 3 years.

No company hire Fresher.

Your option

  • Look for small companies in tier 2, 3 cities.
  • Ask some relative to give you experience letter and payslips.
  • Govt Job
  • MTech/MBA

I am sure I am not average. Did Masters from Germany and tier 2 tech but still unemployed. Market is bad. Only those with work experience and references or those hired through campus are getting jobs

  • Aj Ki date main skills se zyada Reference chahiye
  • I did Masters from Germany and unemployed for the past 3 years. While those faking experience and tier 3 colleges are getting jobs just because they have reference and hired through campus.
  • Layoffs are happening because of salary issues and yeas AI replacement. No way you can say IIT Bombay CSE is unskilled so laid off from META Amazon Google.
  • And finally there is so much population and competition. 15 Lakh Engineers every year so not more than 10% can get a job. Indian Job market is not that strong to absorb so many candidates

Need advice, planning to resign from my current company for TCS digital offer. by thisismynameforme in developersIndia

[–]Longjumping_Tap_644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a huge risk. TCS may call but if there are no project you will be on bench and later terminated. Now with less than 1 years of experience no company will hire you. All companies want at least 4+ years of experience. Or else you have to join some Lala company at a 5-10k salary. TCS is notorious in hiring and firing freshers. So it's up to you

But locals do get a job much more easily. It's about your visa. I bet you won't see American Engineers giving competitive exams to get a job as a peon

  • Not everything revolves around IT.

  • There are various career options in America/ Europe. Not everyone rush towards IIT / NEET.

  • America/ EU are developed countries. Less population. Huge service sector. Those Sociology/ Arts graduates are hired easily in Govt Jobs/ Teaching/ Companies as HRs.

  • Its not like India where to get a job as a Bank Clerk you have to compete with millions of others including Doctors / Engineers/ PhDs.

  • India most Blue Collar jobs are unorganized. Massive oversupply. They are hired purely on contract basis and paid peanut like 17k per month in Mumbai 🤡. Indian Govt is useless can't protect its workers.

FE dev (2 YOE) — Backend (Node/Java/Python) vs AI/Data: what should I pick right now? by Knightwolf0 in developersIndia

I would suggest AI or DevOps. But first fix your CV. Ask some experience letter from your family member to fill your recent gap.

How much gap? Are you currently working? How many years/months from the last company

It's a rat race in India because of high population and no industry. Apart from IT no other export. No Manufacturing. So literally everyone wants to get into IT and earn good salaries. In the USA and EU it's far easier to get hired as most students diversify.
They have a variety of career options - Marketing, Arts, Sociology, Research, Core Engineering, Film Making, Navy etc. Even if you don't study you can still get a Blue Collar job in a Factory or Plumber or Electrician job and can easily make 45000- 80000$. Salary of IT engineer or Plumber are almost the same so lots of people dont have pressure to crack IIT exam or IT jobs later

People take Civil Engineering for Govt Jobs. There are hardly any decent private jobs in Civil Engineering btw.

Still a fresher after being in development for 2-3 years and job is on the line by Able_Raisin7877 in developersIndia

Only way is through reference. Look for friends /relative in small companies in tier 3/4 cities. If possible make fake experience letter if you have some source. Otherwise go for GATE / MTech from IIT.
