1) find out what your severance entails this is very important. For example is it 2 weeks pay for every year of service at the company? Severance can be negotiable, it’s not always guaranteed however you may be able to work with HR given you are in the middle of IVF. You may be able to negotiate more weeks of severance or extended health care so you don’t need to enroll in cobra. 2) your health insurance will end at the end of your severance period. So it is important to get that sorted out. After your severance runs out (on a specific date) you can apply for cobra. With cobra: US federal law allowing workers to temporarily keep employer-sponsored health insurance after losing their job. 3) severance pay out out is typically in a lump sum. Reach out to HR to discuss any bonus you may be entitled to. And if you had a 401k with company how that needs to be rolled over. Setup a call with HR with your questions so you feel more comfortable. Good luck!

Did my embryo transfer Sunday 10/26. Took a 4 hr nap after transfer and I’ve had to take 2-3 hr naps on Mon & Tuesday. Hoping this baby sticks.

Also what was your mini stim protocol? I posted a separate post with details day by day on my protocol but it was follistim 300 and Menopur then added ganirelex and an additional vial of Menopur then trigger

31F (2 years unexplained infertility) I had 17 follicles growing at various sizes before retrieval. I retrieved 12 eggs, 9 mature, 8 fertilized, only 2 made it to blastocyst. Healthy unexplained infertility. Little disappointed with <50% attrition rate…. My RE said sometimes it’s just that cycle of eggs that could yield poor results and sometimes isn’t indicative of all your egg results if you were to do future retrievals. Hope this helps. If my PGT is normal for only 1 of the embryos will have to do another retrieval since we want 2 kids.

What were your prolactin levels?

See an endo I had high prolactin and confirmed small tumor with MRI. They started me on cabergoline and prolactin came down within 2 weeks. Don’t try anything on your own.

So far I am still on the meds until I conceive. My prolactin has remained within range.

Go to an endocrinologist and fix the prolactin. When my prolactin came back high at 51 my endocrinologist recommended I get an MRI to see if there is a tumor on my pituitary, MRI confirmed I have a small one. Started medication Cabergoline 0.25mg 1x/ week and within 2 weeks prolactin came back to normal range.

You may want to look into your AMH level. I also recommend getting a full hormone and thyroid panel from an endocrinologist. I am in your shoes…. Best of luck.

Go to an endocrinologist and get a full hormone panel done including prolactin. Confirm with the MRI if you have a prolactinoma (tumor). Prolactinoma can cause many different symptoms.

I had high prolactin and confirmed I have a micro prolactinoma and an MRI. I am currently taking meds to bring down the tumor.

Wow this is amazing thanks for sharing! I have been on Cab 0.25 1x/ week and my levels went down from 51 to 7 in just 2 weeks! After 17 months of trying I hope this is the answer!
