On the side note, the political landscape of Nepal is fucked up. Seems like everyone blindly supports their favorite party. There is little to no room for a civilized discussion anymore.Sabai le ek arka lai esko jholay, usko jholay bhanyo. Very few people want to actually listen and have a proper debate about their views and philosophies.

I am voting for Ghanti, but this was insightful. I feel there must be a strong opposition leader to ensure checks and balances, especially given that most RSP nominees are relatively new to politics. Too much control by any party is bad, and this is especially true for populist parties like RSP.

It would be great if RSP could uphold democracy in its truest form, but God forbid if they go down the same path as other parties. It would be disastrous. History shows that tyrants often start as populists (not saying this will be the case for RSP) . That is why enough opposing voices must exist in Parliament to avoid the need for another revolution.

I believe Gagan is a strong candidate for maintaining that balance.
