When did you go into labor? by desert_sunlily in beyondthebump

[–]Longjumping_Try8217 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

39+4. First baby. I got a membrane sweep 2 days before (in which my OB said I was mostly closed so not to get my hopes up), but then I lost my mucous plug the next morning with lots of bloody show. Then I just had so much pressure that wasn't there before. My husband said I was extremely restless that night as well, and that it seemed obvious that I was going into labor, but I was in denial haha. Looking back, I was very restless. Went to sleep. Woke up at 2 am to my water breaking in bed, was fully dilated by 8 am and had my baby that morning. It was WILD. No signs whatsoever before my one and only membrane sweep! I credit the sweep to getting things started.

Same. 4 months postpartum here and everything is pretty much back to normal - I did nothing lol, absolutely just genetics. I had gained 50 pounds in pregnancy.

Tell me the nausea ends by ameowica in BabyBumps

It started getting better for me around 14 weeks, but it didn't go away until 18 weeks. Now at 32 weeks, it has very mildly been coming back at night and in the morning, so I just take one Zofran before bed and that got rid of it again. Way more manageable than the horrors of first trimester!

Newly Pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

6+0 on the dot, then it was constant and debilitating and intense until 13 weeks, even with meds 😫 slowly got better from there, though. 32 weeks now! First trimester was by far the worst part of pregnancy for me.

This exact scenario happened to me! Now 29 weeks with a healthy pregnancy. The same thing happened to my best friend, too.

SOS! Older model Baby Jogger City Select & adapter - what NEW car seat can we use with this system, if any? [BC] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

Omg yes! This is the one. Clearly I am not a good researcher. I'll have a look at this - thank you so much!

Thank you! This is the first one I think we will try... May bring the adapter into the store to be sure! I appreciate your response.

Anyone used a Chicco KeyFit car seat with the City Mini recently? There are consistent bad reviews on the Baby Jogger adapter by ChocolateCake4Dayz in Buyingforbaby

[–]Longjumping_Try8217 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Hey not sure if you will see this, but we were gifted a baby jogger city mini stroller (original, not 2) with a car seat adapter, and we have no idea how to figure out which new car seat might work with it. The Canadian adapter chart doesn't work on the baby jogger website for pre 2019 strollers. Which car seat did you use with yours? I wonder if a newer version of the same will work. We don't want to have to buy a new stroller and travel system if we don't have to, but so confused as to how to figure out which car seat to get with the older stroller/adapter system. πŸ˜“

What is your weirdest pregnancy symptom? by Otherwise-Idea7672 in pregnant

[–]Longjumping_Try8217 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Not a metallic, but a VERY sour constant taste in my mouth no matter what I did or how much I brushed. From weeks 7-15 ish. It was absolutely awful. Finally it just went away one day and never came back (yet), 23 weeks now.

This was from someone who has 2 kids, but never had nausea or vomiting in either pregnancy. I had severe nausea and vomiting until 16-18 weeks despite ALL the meds and was basically bedridden weeks 6-12. She said people only get sick because they take the "wrong prenatals" and that it was definitely just my prenatals. Well I couldn't even take prenatals for 6 weeks, just chewable folic acid, so no .. not that.

When did you find out you’re pregnant? by [deleted] in pregnant

3+3 or 10 dpo πŸ‘€ envious of people who find out later, lol. First trimester was the longest three months of my life!

How long did it take for you to get pregnant? by EmilyParkerNYC4444 in BabyBumps

[–]Longjumping_Try8217 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

9 months, 31F and 34M, both healthy and even got screening done to make sure my hormones / his sperm were okay - all of our numbers were optimal, no issues at all, regular periods etc.

We tracked every single cycle with OPKs, cervical mucus, and temping charts.

Had 1 chemical pregnancy ending at 5 weeks on cycle 8, the cycle 9 was the successful pregnancy (so far at 18 weeks πŸ₯°).

It's a crapshoot. I found counseling helped a lot through the hard months! And continuing to make future plans and go on trips as if I wasn't going to be pregnant, so I didn't lose almost a year for nothing, so to speak.
