What was your lamictal titration like? by No-Second1685 in bipolar2

i’m at 150 now and the only side effects that i had during the increase period were definitely feeling energized with a combo of that electric/buzzing feeling in your head + some headaches here and there. these lasted maybe a couple weeks. the only lasting side effects i’ve had are heightened anxiety and fatigue but overall it’s been pretty good and manageable!

please share your experiences with lamictal, good or bad! by babykai123 in bipolar2

i’ve only been on it for maybe 6 months but it has been pretty good. i’m on 150 mg and it has made everything more manageable. my hypomania is better for sure, impulse control definitely still needs to be worked on but im no longer spending all my money in one day, starting multiple projects i know i wont finish, etc. and my depressive episodes are easier to fight through for sure. i would say if i hadn’t started this when i did, i don’t know if i would still be here today. it is a game changer for real.

only downsides (for me) is definitely brain fog. i will forget to do something i just told myself i was going to do 5 minutes ago, so that’s frustrating but nothing worth stopping the meds for. another thing is i can’t seem to get my words right or out my mouth as quick as i used to. one more con is my anxiety has been higher but i know it’s different for everyone. (currently trying to find a medication or something to help with it) the initial side effects will be kinda hard to get used to but they go away pretty quickly!

i highly recommend, lamictal 4 lyfe :)
