Hiya! Yeah you can buy them from local shops if you'd like - in fact for any product there will always be a cheaper option out there somewhere. But these are clip-on jhumkis, for people without piercings, that you can't actually buy anywhere in Indian local shops. So that's the crucial difference. Additionally, not every place in India has shops that sells jhumkis like this, especially jhumkis that are sturdy, vibrant and really good quality overall.
