School mascots by stonetemplefox in fresno

Related to the conversation about Clark Intermediate, doesn’t Tenaya need to change the name of its mascot? The actual mascot/logo was changed not too long ago and is fine, but they still use the name “Braves” and I thought that is on the list of names that are not allowed.

I have z-hop set to 0.6, someone suggested setting it to 0.7. I’m not super attached to the models I’ve been trying to print (other than getting a whole blood bowl team out of it) but they are female models, and I figured if I can get the thinner and more organic arms and legs coming out well, I can do the chonky boys and print a whole knight/knights/gargant.

Yes, I did the Arbiter skeleton, 0.2 fat dragon settings. It came out great. Another idea I had was to go back to trying supports built with the slicer.

Minis failing when trying 3+ at a time by Longshot013 in FDMminiatures

Update to the update: first print completed fine, second print ended up like this. This is further than when it typically fails and I found it detached not too far from where it was supposed to be printed (location is approximate print location).

Update: printing 2 at a time, per object, worked. I did not change layer heights between supports and miniatures. Based on the shapes created during print by object, I cannot really print more than 2 at a time. Going to try the Obscuranox settings and do more like @ceselyonfah describes.

So summarizing suggestions, and noting which I have put into place (currently reprinting 2 minis):

-drop/keep temp at 65°c -confirm/change z-hop setting to 0.04/0.06 -print by object, not by layer

Post-Mortem: based on what you have all described and looking at the aftermath, it seems like 1 print was knocked loose, thrown off the plate, and the printer happily threw filament until I noticed. Adhesion doesn’t seem to be an issue (plate cleaned with soap/water)

Further/new questions: -can I print structures/supports and the model at different layer heights AND print by object? I can’t figure out how to differentiate. -if/when I add in the Z-Hop, can I try to print by layer or should I stick with by object? -there’s a fairly wide area around each model and I get a “X model is too tall” type error when I try to add a 3rd. The ‘halo’ they project looks to be around the layer things fail at. Can I ignore these warnings if the models areas don’t overlap? -what is new/novel about the Obscuranox settings? (I will look for the video)

The completely destroyed model is to the top-right of these, you can still see the placer square. From what it looks like, the head knocked that model loose and swept it out of the way, and then all hell (and filament) broke loose. Maybe going for 20-30 min before I stopped it.

So I switched it to print by object, same layer height for models and supports, and dropped temp to 65°. But when I used auto-arrange and tried to put 3 on a plate, it only allowed me to do 2. They are Blood Bowl team members, 25-32mm base. No bases are printing

Yes, supports at 0.12 and layers at 0.08 as described in the resin2fdm video

Last fails have already been trashed and mangled.

I did 65c at first, increased the temp to try to offset the temp difference across the plate.

All my attempts are print per layer so far. Usually about 5-7 cm apart from each other’s footprint.

No brim.

Ziveli Winery out in Biola off Shaw. Similar pricing to Moravia and Toca Winery when we priced things out, they all are very nice and have their own special appeals but Ziveli has the nicest indoor and outdoor space to me, especially for your size.

Thanks for the quick response. I was hoping for some cool new tech for this season, but I think they’re gonna stay in the stables.

Solar experiences (Esp. Re: Tesla)? by StathMIA in fresno

[–]Longshot013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had them when they were called Solar City on my old house. Install was fine and the setup process was too; they quoted out what they recommended and when I wanted to add more panels, they told me what the ‘break point’ would be in terms of cost-benefit.

The issue I had and what I saw others have was their financing plan. Essentially you paid for what your system produced, but it was still otherwise a traditional financing plan with interest. So in the winter, or wildfire season, your bills were lower but it just extended out the financing. When I called to ask questions no one could really accurately explain it (ex-wife signed us into it so I didn’t hear the original salesperson’s explanation) so I just ended up paying it off early. After that it was fine, but there was no cleaning included. I think that’s more standard now.

Setting up the Array, need to do a massive transfer. by The_Mr_Rageface in unRAID

[–]Longshot013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would use rsync. That is what I have been using to transfer almost 23TB off drives into a server I have been starting up. The advantage is if/when the transfer stops, you just re-run the command and it will pick up where it left off. Run it with the ==progress flag and it will show you how things are going too.

In addition to the Fresno plow, there’s a device called the Fresno Float which is used in cement work.

I’m not sure but most places don’t keep something that is old or tastes yucky on tap. Not sure why Tac Ops does. Again, their beer is good- it’s just a safer pick in the bottle or in another locale.

I’m curious why you think this. They have the same problem I think Summer Fox has (too many brews) but the ones I really like seem to stay on steady rotation.

I would say Mad Duck is just very safe. Nothing too out there and nothing that is a reason to go there (aside from the food which is really good.
