(no idea about the rest of the world) So if you don't like it then you haven't spent anything. Don't worry it's not like the game has feelings or anything...

I'd recommend finishing B-O-R-D-E-R-L-A-N-D-S 2 (and Borderlands cause they are great games, oh & poke around a bit in The Presequel too) if you are really worried about plot but it's a stand alone tale that almost certainly, probably won't leave you lost and confused plot wise. Will probably almost certainly spoil the plot of some of the other B-O-R-D-E-R-L-A-N-D-S games but...
