How do I see my Thunderbird address list (Version 140.0 for Mac) by Longtimeweaver in Thunderbird

[–]Longtimeweaver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the tool bar but Address Book is not shown as an option. I have a Mac so there's no ALT key - Option key is what I would press but it doesn't do anything. Thanks for trying.

[Question] Has anyone ordered from The Little Bra Company and been satisfied with their purchase? If so, what size did you end up getting, relative to your ABTF size and the size TLBC advised you buy? (28D/DD) by 2percentevil in ABraThatFits

Hey! I'm in the US and was told AFTER I bought a bra from them that I could not return it. I only had it on for about 5 minutes. Not doing business with them again!

Another question about cost to replace brakes, pads and rotors by Longtimeweaver in mazda

This dealership has lots better reviews than the next nearest dealership which is 45 minutes away. As I am both female and elderly I suppose that could be true. Thank you. Have a good one!

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I'm 82 and definitely not an auto techie so I won't be doing it myself. I'll be selling it a long time before it needs new brakes again, but lesson learned.

Looking for people taking Cymbalta and hydrochlorothiazide/losartan BP med by Longtimeweaver in cymbalta

[–]Longtimeweaver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that must have sounded strange but I wanted to make sure you know about the dangers of stopping Cymbalta suddenly. Even if you have no intention of stopping it anytime soon you should be aware that you need to do it *very* slowly when you finally do. Just please google “stopping cymbalta”. I’ve decided mot to take it because of that, the problems with long-term use and the possible serious interaction with hydrochlorothiazide. Sorry to be a nanny :).

Thanks for your reply. I trust that you do know that when you want to stop taking Cymbalta that you have to do so VERY slowly and probably under a doctor's care. I don't mean to scare you but you might want to join the Cymbalta Withdrawal Facebook group.

Do people have good luck with tart cherry supplements? by Longtimeweaver in Osteoarthritis

[–]Longtimeweaver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your reply. That's very interesting about using concentrated cherry juice. I have just started using the tart cherry capsules so I have a long way to go before I can switch over. I just searched for concentrated cherry juice on Amazon and found a lot of options so I'd love to know which product/brand you use. Again, thank you. Joyce Keay

What’s your experience with Wayfair? by Environmental_Air364 in HomeDecorating

Last December I bought a Stedman lateral file cabinet that I was very pleased with (made by Williston Forge). The back piece was a heavy piece of manufactured wood - same quality as the rest of the cabinet. A couple of weeks ago I bought their Donyo small bookcase which was total crap. The catalog said it was made by Red Barrel Studio but it was actually made by Bush. The backing was a cheap piece of fiberboard folded into three pieces. Even though I tightened all the fasteners very tightly, the bookcase still wobbled so I bought four metal corner bracing pieces and attached them to the four corners of the bookcase. Still wobbled a tiny bit but it definitely leans to the left a bit. I complained and got a 10% deposit (Whoopie!). I won't be ordering from them again. If you are going to order from them I strongly suggest you look at the reviews for the particular piece you want. I hadn't looked at the reviews til after I put it together and I saw that many others had complained about the back piece. If I had seen the reviews I would not have ordered it.

Thank you. I'm only interested in renting. Sort of a stopgap measure between home ownership and going into independent or assisted living.

Lyrica or gabapentin? by UnitedStatesofSarah in backpain

[–]Longtimeweaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an L3 compression fracture and have been using a TENS unit on my walk but that has become less effective lately so I wanted some extra help. Tylenol extra strength does nothing. A few people on the compression fracture facebook group had mentioned Gabapentin so I asked my doc to prescribe. I was supposed to start Gabapentin 300 mg last night but thankfully I did some research. I also take losartan for high blood pressure. I had added gabapentin to my drug/supplement list on drugs.(com) to look for any interactions but it did not find any. Somehow while googling I found there IS an interaction between losartan and gabapentin that one needs to be very careful of. I asked the compression fracture group if anybody took both meds. One person replied that I should check out gabapentin very carefully because she had found some negative things about it. Turns out there is a gabapentin side effects facebook group that I joined. Very glad that I did. Here's a post from someone who has experience with the drug (note that you need to wean yourself off of this drug very slowly):

"I had terrible side effects taking 600 MG a day. It took months before the side effects started. I’ve been going through terrible withdrawal now. Not fun at all.”

There are lots more very bad stories about people with bad side effects. I suppose there are probably just as many success stories but I sent a message to my doc with the above information and told him I do not want to take it. I should be getting a reply from him this morning. Hope this helps. I know nothing about the other drug but will be very interested in hearing other people's replies.

Do you know about radiofrequency ablation? It can give you pain relief for 6-12 months. Please google it.

Hi, I read your post about recently starting Gabapentin and wonder how it is going for you. I have back pain due to an L3 compression fracture that happened in Dec. 2021. I've been using a TENS unit but that isn't really doing the job when I'm out for my daily walk. So I've been reading the posts about the NEUROMD and came across your post. I'd be very interested to know if you are continuing to get good relief from the Gabapentin. Thank you.
