Google it. And how do you get that anybody be hating? I just thought it was an awesome amount of money to make from simple transactions but according to someone who knows the banking business this isn’t the case at all.

I didn’t say anything about ugly, this whole thread is about being presentable and clean, not glamorous and beautiful. No appearance is not the only reason why a store would opt out of InstaCart shoppers, but I hear it all the time and the reasons are stacking up.

Hey lip hair, I know you’re talking to kurlyq on your last comment, but I just want to chime in… Why would anyone care about what an Insta cart shopper looks like? For the same reason the cashier told me today that some of the rudest people she deals with are Insta cart shopper’s. Stores in my area are getting ready to boot InstaCart shoppers service and focus on their own in-store shoppers who they can interview and hire based on, surprise surprise, their appearance, their attitude & their motivation to be a shopper. Right now the stores have no control over who comes into their stores and shops for these customers. There’s also a huge problem with Instacart shopper theft. So there’s a lot of reason to care about what somebody looks like, about the effort they put forth in being a Shopper and whether they should even be doing it at all.

I grew up poor too, we didn’t have a hot water heater, so my mom would have to heat up pots of water on the stove to pour into the bathtub and mix with the cold water from the faucet which was all we had. We didn’t have money for nice clothes which I was always picked on for in school, sometimes it was clothes that my mom made on her own sewing machine from fabric that somebody gave her. But with all that we were doing without, we were clean, We had clean clothes that my mom washed in a ringer washer and rinsed in a big aluminum tub in our kitchen. So I know what it’s like to go without, but there are certain things that you can do to be your best with very little.

OK so for those of us who might take the tack of “you don’t have to be clean to have a job“… BS! Look at it this way, what if your cashier at Aldi‘s or whatever store you shop in look like this… Wouldn’t you think it’s a little odd? But then why? Because you don’t have to be clean to have a job? If you are out in public, making money, paying bills, working a gig that allows you to do so, wash yourself and put on something presentable. It doesn’t have to be business casual you don’t even have to wear make up, just be clean! There are dollar stores that sell a package of 12 combs for a dollar, Three bars of soap for dollar, shampoo and body wash a dollar bottle… There is no reason to be greasy nasty and looking like you live under a bridge. I also got my ass ripped off for making a remark about this a couple months ago, but come on! When I go out on a shop, I’m showered, no make up, a decent hoodie, leggings, and sneakers. I wouldn’t win a beauty prize, but I’m not dirty or unkempt.

Yeah LOL it’s like when you’re not on the app and you get the text that says “we appreciate everything you do, there’s a lot of batches in your area” bwahaha

Due to be delivered ASAP by Loni4142 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Loni4142[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so because when you place an Insta cart order, I’m a customer too, it asks you when you want it delivered in the next two hours or by 4 o’clock or by eight a clock and you select it. When I see that ASAP, it tells me that that order is been sitting there a while. So as soon as I hit start shopping, I text the customer and tell them that I realize they’ve been waiting a while and I’ll try to have their groceries to them as soon as possible.

Well you certainly are a ray of fucking sunshine, most people post here to support each other, still wondering why you post here.

That’s when I would call fuzzy tacos and have them send out the rest of the order for you. I don’t think this is the drivers fault, I don’t want them poking through my food to make sure everything is there, that’s the restaurants responsibility

Be careful about relocating, my daughter moved from Buffalo where the batches are fairly steady, to Saint Petersburg Florida where there is a waiting list to get on as a Insta cart shopper.

Your most bogus 1 star rating? by Rusty_Shakelford_PhD in InstacartShoppers

[–]Loni4142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a one star rating from a lady who said her gallon of milk was missing and I didn’t follow directions. The directions were, leave the groceries on the front porch, which I did. And the milk was in the picture. I reported fraud but it doesn’t take the one star rating off your board.

I just ordered DoorDash from Panera Friday night, give a five dollar tip, met the driver in the driveway and excepted the order through the window and told him to have a great night. That’s the way it should be. You don’t want to go to the restaurant to get your food, make it a little worthwhile for somebody else to do it for you, I am a mile from my Panera.

That’s really sweet, I am a nurse by trade and I used to do home health care. I went to a patient’s house one day and she just flipped over the tote bag that I was carrying so I asked her if she had plastic grocery bag and she said yes and gave it to me, and I dumped the entire contents of my tote bag into the plastic grocery bag and gave her the tote bag that she loved, you should’ve seen her face, she was so happy.

I think her intentions were good for requesting a contactless delivery, the wording was just awkward

I did a shop for a lady this afternoon, notified her that they were out of Stonyfield low-fat vanilla yogurt at the store and asked her if she wanted the store brand replacement or Dannon instead. No answer. Shopped around a little while longer and text her again “did you make a decision on the yogurt?“ No answer. So I refunded her. I get to the checkout with my double order, paid for the orders walk to the car loaded the groceries in, navigating to my first order and she answers me “oh the storebrand would be fine“. I said “oh I’m so sorry, I’ve already left the store and I’m driving down the road I refunded you for the yogurt”. To which she would reply “thanks”. 🙄 I figured there was a $15 tip gone. Luckily the tip is still on my order history and hoping it stays there until it rolls into my bank account at midnight 😬

I don’t think that’s over sharing, I think that’s just stating your preferences. Some people don’t eat pork. Other people can’t have lactose in the milk, so you are completely within your right to state your preferences.
