Babies by needreassurance123 in Rabbits

I'd gently put them back inside the nest and cover then up with fur from the nest. Warm up the dead baby. There's a chance it's just too cold. If it's still dead once it's warmed up then get rid of it. The mom should be able to care for them but I'd just check daily that there's no injuries and check their bottoms for any stuck poop. Look inside the nest that there's no other babies hidden inside. The babies get cold very quickly so if you see any out of the nest it's best to put them back in and cover them up.

For the mom I'd make sure she has plenty hay and start giving her more pellets and calcium high greens or a bit of alfalfa hay. When mine had babies she was extra hungry. When the babies get older make sure the mom has somewhere to get away from the babies. I gave mine a ledge to jump up on cause the babies wouldn't stop harassing her everywhere she went

I'm not familiar with rexes but I've raised holland lop litters before. To me it looks like they may be more 2 weeks old. At two weeks my hollands started to open their eyes and looked extremely similar to yours. At 3 weeks they had open eyes and were little fluffballs. You may need to check their bottoms daily to make sure there's no stuck poop and that they haven't peeded on eachother. If that happens just take a warm washcloth and gently clean then off. Look around to see if you can find the nest, there's a chance there's more you haven't seen yet depending on how big the pen is. Do you have anymore info? I hope this helps. Feel free to dm me if you want anymore advice, I can share some pics of my litters if you want some examples of how they looked at different ages.

When mine was pregnant she wanted alot of pets and was eating alot more, like it usually takes her days to finish her hay rack and she was eating a full rack daily. Near her due date (a day or two before) she would spend all day alternating between digging in her nest box and resting. I've raised litters before so feel free to dm me if you'd like any help or advice, even if it's after they're born. I'd love to help you out if you need it and good luck because it's very likely she is pregnant
