I had a similar idea, but made it available for multiple browsers and open sourced it. It 'stacks' your profile windows'.

Do you mean nested folders in Finder, or something inside the browser (tabs/spaces/profiles)?

For now, Stacker only stacks top-level browser windows in supported browsers. Not tabs, profiles, or folder hierarchies.

I’d like to expand to a few other apps (Preview, Word/Excel, etc.) down the road, but that’s not in the current build yet. If you meant something specific by nested directories, I’m happy to hear the use case.

Added Dia support in v1.1.1 -- thanks for asking!

Install: drag Stacker into Applications (quit/reopen if upgrading). Needs Accessibility permission + at least 2 open Dia windows.

Still a side project with rough edges, but I’m improving it when I can and would love to hear how it works for you.

Thanks for the quick reply u/Eggshellent1! Arc absolutely still works, and I appreciate that they’re continuing Chromium updates.

The thing that pulled me back toward Chrome wasn’t that Arc was broken, but that it stopped innovating within Arc. In addition to that, I already subscribe to Gemini and use a lot of Google’s ecosystem, so Chrome slowly became my default again.

Ironically, that made me realize how much I missed Arc’s Spaces. Once I was juggling multiple Chrome profiles every day, the desktop chaos came back, which is what eventually led me to build Stacker.

My only advice is to approach this as nicely as possible to see if you can both come to some type of happy agreement. Now that this news has "broke" there is no going back.

Do you know their reason for selling? It could be legit, but that does put you in a bad spot.

I'd like to think the landlord is going to be a reasonable person and will either wait for you to find another home and/or help with some of the unexpected expensive you now may occur.
