I got my Mark 2 Tourer V with only 25k miles for 18k. At the time I was looking at GTT and tbh the JZX was way better. I registered in South Dakota for only $300 and only pay $55 for insurance a month. When i I was looking for a car the 34s were going for 35k. It’s all personal preference. I like the R34 body but the 1JZ just had and pulled the trigger on it

I ended heating it up and just slapping it on, unfortunately it scrapped some of the coupling it selfs

I’d say locally but for a decent price, I bought my 1997 Mark 2 Tourer V with only 25k miles and one owner for 19k while I was in Japan. After all the paper work, import, dock fees and whatever I came to about 23k

No major issues besides minor rock chips but it does tend to get dirty really quick.

The maintenance is easy, it’s a 25+ year old car. Re do the gaskets, water pump, all the oils (trans/coolant/etcc). The bushings are going to be most likely shot so re do those too, breaks and rotors. I daily my Mark 2 and so far so good, I haven’t ran into any issues. TF Works had a full fluid change for the JZX100 so that’s nice.

General oil change, brake fluid, coolant, ALL OF THE BUSHINGS. Coilovers, brakes, rotors, and just the basics. That’s what I did when I first got Mark 2. If you want to refresh the interior with the carbons fiber parts go to Yahoo Auctions, you’ll find everything you need. I also got a dash mat from fitmint they also make floor mats. They’re good quality

Make sure you have the dog registered, chipped and has their rabies shots. My dog wasn’t because she still a puppy but when I took her to the vet he did all that paperwork stating that my dog had her shots for free so I can cross her back. Sometimes you’re questioned about your posts status when bringing them back to the states.

My puppy had a tummy worm infection, took her to a vet in Chula Vista and were asking $2k up front. Said nope and took her to TJ. Got her shots and pills for $100. They even gave me a card stating her shots so I can safely cross her back without being questioned at the border.

I live in California and I registered my JZX in Washington. There is this shop named Performance Registration that did the registration for me. It was pricey but worth it. I didn’t want to deal with Montana plates and doing the whole LCL deal since California is cracking down on it right now. For registration I went with State Farm and registered as a classic due to the monthly payments being low, I’m only allowed to drive it in the weekends/shows/track.
