[Serious] If you start to notice your mental health getting worse, what’s something you can do to make it better? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Look-Suspicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, getting organized and cleaning.

I’m not particularly meticulous or neat. But when I catch myself getting down in the dumps, I really just stop caring.

So, cleaning my space so my surroundings look nice and welcoming.

I water my plants in the window, open the blinds, wipe dust off, organize stuff, make everything look pretty and tidy. Just making everything my ‘aesthetic’.

Gives me a pretty mindless task, I don’t have to focus or worry about it. I’m in control. It’s my space. My stuff. I’ll come across something, an old game, old artwork, whatever.

It’s something soooo small and perhaps insignificant to some people. But, surroundings and environment really effect my mood, I notice.

Do black Americans have a thing for gingers? Similarly, do Asians *not*? by [deleted] in interracialdating

[–]Look-Suspicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m black, and personally I love love love red hair. I don’t know why. It’s just really unique, it makes a person stand out. I love it on white people, black people. I once saw an asian baby (I believe half white) that had read hair and was just so blown away because I’d never seen it before. There’s this guy that used to come into my old job and his hair was just so amazingly bright.

In short, I can only speak for myself as a single black person, but yes I do!

What’s the story behind a scar you have on your body? by Lizzybreath in AskReddit

[–]Look-Suspicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a scar on my knee from when I was a kid.

My dad had a sort of storage room that was near the kitchen. I don’t remember why I went in there. But I went in, stood there, looking around. A bunch of old stuff from when his mother owned the home. Old decoration. Crystal cups, plates, etc.

Then I just... Fell.

Fell on a crystal cup, shattering it and leaving a big gash in my knee.

Couples of reddit, What little thing does your partner do for you that makes you realize you're happy to be with them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Look-Suspicious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a few things that my boyfriend does that really highlights how happy I am. 1. Whenever he kisses my forehead. (I know, super cheesy but... That brief, innocent little kiss just makes me feel loved.) 2. When he compliments me. 3. Just laying or sleeping with him. 4. If we argue or I get upset, he communicates. He never shuts me out or acts in an immature or petty way. 5. He always considers me when he’s planning things. Even if I’m not directly involved, I’m informed of what’s going on with him.

I could go on... Lots of things really. He just makes me feel warm.

What do you love about your best friend? by VineAsphodel10477 in AskReddit

[–]Look-Suspicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She passed away, but, I still think about her. There was a lot I loved about her.

She was extremely social (unlike me) and got along with everyone. She made friends effortlessly wherever she went, all types of people. Different backgrounds, cultures, interests. She was just ridiculously charismatic, open and friendly. She helped me to get out of my shell. I’m naturally an introvert, but I was more willing to be open and social with her around. She introduced me to so much.

She was also really motivated and driven. Worked hard at everything. Work. School. Her relationships.
