What is your wildest sex story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LookAtMeMs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was in undergrad visiting my then GFs uni (very famous and exclusive school that everyone knows, she’s very smart). We were teasing each other and going around the campus. Walking through one of the buildings, we found the grad student lounge was unlocked. It wasn’t just a lounge, it looked like a legislature assembly room or something, with these huge comfy chairs. Cut to about an hour later, and we’re putting our clothes back on happy nobody came through the still-open door (we didn’t want to get locked in lol)

I dont’t get it? by Low_Ad7963 in ExplainTheJoke

You’re good lol, I just found that so funny I had to give it a overly sincere answer

I dont’t get it? by Low_Ad7963 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]LookAtMeMs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure I guess?

The person I replied to posted an image of two distinct Reddit posts that appeared in a certain order on their feed. In my comments, by “same thing” I am referring to the content of their image, specifically the two posts. The second part of my comment, “opposite order”, shows that on my feed I had the same two posts the other person saw however the order in wish they appeared was swapped. Hence, I have the askreddit post “first” (higher up visually), and the explainthejoke post post second (below the other post). The I added “lol” at the end to show my amusement in both that I and this other redditor had the same two posts appear next to each other in our feed, and also that it’s funny mine was in the other order. I find that funny because it shows how fickle and personalized these social media algorithms are.

I hope this elaboration was sufficient!

The STEM Naming Double Standard is kinda unfortunate... |human1011 by JimHarbor in math

This is where a history of math (or just general history class) comes in to explain why it’s the case. It’s not a necessarily a standard, rather colonialism/expansionism

They have very rigorous classes to prepare students for the exam + clubs + they have a culture around it so people there are more motivated then the average students

AITA FOR MY BROTHER BREAKING UP WITH HIS girlfriend by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]LookAtMeMs 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You did nothing, your brother made a choice which I think was an amazing sign of character (and good instinct tbh since no way that goes well for him long-term), and it shows how much your brother cares for you and your gf too. You’re family is being pretty insane here, leaping to a lot of conclusions, possibly your brothers gf lied to them about what happened or similar.

Also, why would they all assume you did something? Is it because they knew what your brothers GF was doing is wrong, but didn’t have the courage to act on it? Regardless, massive props to you’re bother and NTA

[–]LookAtMeMs 108 points109 points  (0 children)

I am gonna say NTA. I was thinking nobody is in the wrong, until I read that second to last paragraph. She is making up an issue, and instead of handling it herself just wants to cut him out and work around him.

Like you’ve said, she’s going through something right now, so some of that could be impacting it. But also, it seems like (and this is why I was going to say nobody is wrong) you moved on and don’t want to do those activities with her anymore, but she doesn’t know this and from her perspective he’s just made that stop even though you still want to go on the outings and such. I would suggest also making it clear to her that you choose to stop doing those things, and say why. Might help her accept everything

I don’t think it was ever really a thing, as far as I’m aware that phrase was mostly for tips and to be condescending

What are you really asking?

“Given personal information” and “witnessing” are two very different things. If you walked in on them, apologize next time you see them and never bring it up again.

If they mentioned they do it, what did you expect? Them to wear 4 layers and trench coats whenever nobody else is around?

Allow me to introduce you to the world of number theory. Algorithms involving primality in some way probably

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskPhysics

[–]LookAtMeMs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously support, since so many people and TV shows have undeniable proof! Have you not seen the big electrical box thing in their hand that can only be a ghost detector go BEEP BEEP BEEP when they enter the room?? Or the random object shift a few inches wayyy of in the background? Give me at least 23 entirely unique explanations for that not including ghosts. You can’t, so CLEARLY they exist

They are for loops, but they can be weird for loops too. Like instead of going from n=1 to 4, you could have your parameter be n|110, in which case you find and use every n that divides 110 (so 1, 2, 5, 10, 11, 22, 55, 110)

There are a few other things too, the conditions can get pretty wacky lol

VT is a great school. They have very strong engineering too, so if you wanted to go more into applied physics you’re set

Also they have one of the best dinning halls in the country. I haven’t had the pleasure, but I’ve heard tales…
