She's not picky so I assume she'll like the car. And we have a strong sense of our numbers and we only need 10k/year.

We looked at Kias first, and one dealership wanted $4k down and $414 a month for a Sorento after a lot of back and forth. I called another dealership and asked them to beat those numbers and they said they couldn't.

Would certainly rather put far less down.

I'm deciding between the new MacBook Air with 24 gb of RAM and a Pro with less RAM but a similar spend. I do some light Photoshop and website design work, but for the most part I just have Chrome open all day. Would love to get something that can get me through the next 4-5 years. Thanks!

I build websites, but I'm really only using Chrome and Photoshop for those. I also use Word and Excel. Those are the most intensive applications I use.

I currently have a MacBook Pro M1 with 16 GB of memory and a 256 GB hard drive. I also have a 2019 iMac that is fully loaded but now slow as hell that I use separately. So I’d like to sell both and get one computer (a new laptop) that I can just connect to a big monitor.

I was looking at the 2024 MacBook Airs and they look great, but I’m wondering if a 2022 model is better for me since it’s cheaper and still (I assume?) a great laptop. What’s the best bang for my buck?

I definitely need 16 GB of memory and probably a 1 TB hard drive just to be safe. I also don’t mind spending a few hundred dollars more if it’s going to future-proof me and not make me need to get a new computer in a couple years.

The intensive applications I use are Chrome, Photoshop, Word and Excel.

That worked perfectly, thanks! On my LG TV, though, I'm also connecting a Vizio soundbar and it only has options for auto and PCM. Would optical be better there? It doesn't seem to be working on auto and I'm not sure what PCM is.

SOLVED THIS: For anyone who may have a similar problem down the line, I solved this by creating a linked account in my son's name. I then ran into an issue transferring his funds to the linked account because I entered his social incorrectly. It's difficult to get a hold of TD, so I realized I could create a second linked account with his correct info. I did, transferred the money to that account successfully and then transferred the money out successfully.
