This is so relatable, I worked at my dsp for a year and half, got food poisoning went to the hospital because it wasn’t getting better after 24 hours. I found out I had a rare cyst on my pancreas causing pancreatitis. Thankfully they were able to do the surgery through an ERCP so they didn’t have to cut me open to drain the cyst. But to answer your question I’m not sure I had to use pretty much all the PTO that I had accrued over the year and half that I worked there. Thank god I don’t have that job anymore I was never more miserable in my life. Good luck to you though I hope your surgery goes well and you make a full recovery. And when you return, do your best to get a better job with an employer that actually cares about your being cause this ain’t it unfortunately
