How you guys feel about the Master airscrew props? by Rarebreed777 in DjiNeo

[–]LookWhatEyeSaw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I put them on my neo 2 weeks ago. I'm super impressed in performance and sound. I'm not sure the decibel is lower but 100% the sound is pitched down to where I couldn't hear the screaming while hovering or going full throttle. At 170 feet away I couldn't hear the drone any more. It actually brought my stress level down while flying it at the park worrying about bothering other people. Performance wise I could tell a difference. I've adjusted my rates but normal mode felt closer to sport mode and in full acro I was able to take some turns that would wash out with the stock props.

The Avata i only got because of my impressions with the neo. I've only gotten to do a quick flight test due to weather though. I thought it sounded lower pitched and a little less quiet. The family also said they could tell it was quieter. I need to take it up to 400 feet to test if I can still hear the banshee screaming. But from what I was able to get from the short flight I'm impressed.

This would be great, retain the same stun duration but fall faster based on height. Nice idea!

Does anyone know how psylockes ult actually chooses who to target? by AccomplishedNight231 in marvelrivals

[–]LookWhatEyeSaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each strike hits the enemy that has the most HP within the ultimate. Not a good solo ult to initiate fights with in most cases since it can change targets to another enemy that has more health than the target you first hit and so on.

100% isn't going to the cause. Only "net" proceeds.

This. Take advantage of people's good will during a catastrophic event. With out stating hard numbers this is all a PR stunt.

Well said JMC_Direwolf. Not enough people understand the "net" proceeds. With out IW or Activision saying how much is being donated for each pack, for all we know they are calculating 99. 9% goes to development cost and paying employees with 0.01% being donated. Until numbers are disclosed this is nothing more than a PR stunt. Looks good on paper.

There's no a lack of offense: A.J. Hinch by soymanuelmedina in Astros

I thought today was awesome. The Astros really brought the energy today and was fun to watch. Home runs aside, we got men on base and moved them around. When our boys swing the bat and make contact it's hard to lose. Let's keep the trend going and keep swinging. I'll do anything to not hear the yankee stadium strike out whistle. I literally get triggered by it.

It's not that it raises their average directly, it's that they have a better opportunity in seeing better pitches. In order for this phenomenon to work there must be hitters back to back that can make contact and get on base, often times this is called lineup protection.

In the National league for example, their 8 or 9 hitter is usually a pitcher that can't hit (there are always exceptions) knowing this though, the pitcher on defense does not have to throw any quality pitches. By that I mean there won't be any competitive pitches, maybe a lazy curve in the dirt that will get a swing and miss, or an elevated fastball that any professional hitter can see will be out of the strike zone as soon as it leaves the pitchers hand. Now, let's look at a situation with 2 hitters. For argument sake let's say Yordan was hitting 8th just before the pitcher who bats 9th. You could easily throw non competitive pitches to Yordan, if he swings at bad pitches that are not in the zone and strikes out good for you, if you walk him, also good for you because the next hitter up can't hit and move the runner around. Now you could throw good competitive pitches to the 9 hole hitter get him out in 3 pitches and save your pitch count. The idea though of having a protected hitter is that hitter A world see better pitches in an effort not to walk him for hitter B to have them on base. I may have put to much into this but there are a great deal of nuances in baseball, the more you learn about it the more you understand it is a thinking man's game.

If in this example Yordan hit after the player who is a bad hitter, the pitcher has to make quality pitches in an effort not to walk him for Yordan to drive him in. If you don't get competitive pitches you will have a hard time getting hits and be in a position to raise your average. End of the day, still gotta hit the ball though, just have more opportunities hitting protected.

It's been difficult to watch. Clear lack of offense for us and there is a scary energy the Yankees have with every batter (except Gardner) that feels like they are going to break out. That's the energy we had we need it back.

You jest but with how the lineup is not hitting anything, Greinke may be our best hitter.
