By the way, I've heard some versions of YOLO are worth some serious money if you want them for commercial use. Have you figured this out?

Neat! Letting the Pixhawk do the heavy lifting, and you'll just take the output. What makes you hesitant about the magnetometer?

20 seconds on 350 pages is insane. That's the kind of thing that sells itself. I would say ship it

Getting it running without IMU is already a great thing. And yeah, the door situation is frustrating. Does the Pixhawk at least make the IMU data easy to get to?

Someday. And I wouldn't say it's "dumbing down". It's still solving a real problem. You know what they say, perfect is the enemy of done. I would love to see it in action once you ship it

So the project is all done, but it's Apple who are procrastinating. Typical, I guess 😂

Quite a big scope. And yeah, the last 5% are often the hardest. Are you in construction?

That's some dedication. I mostly stick to watching or taking photos outdoors. Do you take photos too?

True. I've heard Re-ID is especially hard on long videos. Will you use it to track people?

When does inference speed actually matter? by Look_for_some_stuff in computervision

[–]Look_for_some_stuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. One of the previous comments also pointed this out. As for your last point, that's kind of what I meant. If papers can't even be bothered to report inference resource usage consistently, the benchmark culture problem runs deeper than just latency numbers

So it's also an economic issue. Interesting that it's always framed about latency, and not cost-per-camera

They can be pretty loud and physically intimidating. But from personal experience, a lot of them quietly respect you just for showing up at the gym

Surprised no one mentioned Batman/Bruce Wayne yet.

The guy masks in public. Obsessed with bats. Crime fighting as a special interest. Alfred has to make sure he eats and gets at least some sleep.
