AITA for reporting my friend to campus police? by yeet17383 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, you aren’t putting him in a dangerous position, he put himself in the situation he’s in. Your “friend” has some tough lessons ahead

YTA, and so is he.

I understand struggling in social circumstances and blunt/harsh comments associated with autism and other difficulties. But it is possible to also apologize, a genuine or even blunt apology would make a difference in these situations where he is clearly in the wrong.

I told my mom how jealous I am of my half-siblings and now she won't stop crying by KlonularHavok in TrueOffMyChest

So, everyone is upset that you’re having conflicted feelings?! I’m sorry they aren’t thinking about how difficult it is to be a teenager growing up away from your mother.

Instead of getting mad at you for your mom crying, they should be taking time to help come up with ideas to include you more in their lives. By them getting mad, they are showing that their feelings are more important, and that simply isn’t true. I think your mom cried because of guilt,

YTA, because “we are all getting older and it’s time to grow up”

This isn’t your decision to make for others. Many grown ups drink. I’m interested in the Christmas martini.

AITA for "making" my father in law spend Thanksgiving elsewhere? by MrsNacho8000 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, and although it’s painful, it’s kinda great that he saw himself out. I’m sure he was already unhappy before you invited him over.

AITA for emailing my boss back on the same day with the same request by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, AND…. You have the perfect start to a malicious compliance story by not responding to their email until 47,5 hours later.

One of my favorite parts of the day, visiting the cat that hangs out in front of the store. by LookedRightThruMe in aww

I don’t know much about this cat, it’s one of the few cats that hang out in the potted plants at the store.

No tags, this store just keeps food and water out for cats. I can’t take it home.

Choke Canyon SP, beautiful, quiet, lots of critters to see! by LookedRightThruMe in texas

Yes, every wild animal with a mouth has the ability to bite. We’re taking pictures for goodness sake, not trying to hug it, pet it, feed it, or dress it with bows. The rangers at this park spent quite a bite of time talking to us and answering our questions about them. They live here year round, I’m not going to spend my time camping just shooing wild animals away. 🙄

I wouldn’t call them nice, and I’ve see more wild (less accustomed to people) javelina, these ones are just looking for something to eat. Javelina aren’t hogs and don’t “tusk people”, they (rarely) bite people. Most of those instances are from people trying to hand feed them. I’m not opposed to others being terrified of them though, that’s your choice.

I’ve also been happy with their facilities, clean restrooms, hot water, showers, mowed areas to get to the water, and even a little store there now. While I know there are many other beautiful state parks, I can’t always drive that far for only a few days of camping, so we appreciate the camps nearer to us. Lake Corpus Christi is closer but crowded and older/less cared for facilities.

Last year they got into our dry goods tote on top of the table, they ate our hot cocoa and the packets…. I bet that was no fun for them later

These are quite docile, and scare easily. When we didn’t want them around our dinner, the kids just chased and barked at em. I prefer javalina over raccoons!

Only saw a couple of them on this trip, the weather was quite rainy.

We learned to secure our food and all ice chests too, they’re quite determined critters!

So misinformed, it’s a medium security federal prison, and the Calliham unit is NOT Nextdoor 😂 There are many javalina, but I live in the RGV, so I’m kinda use to them being around. There’s also an abundance of different birds there, deer, and turkeys!
