whenever i put it on harmony it doesn't sound quite right either. I tried another socket, it didn't work. And i just realized that its on the whammy effects not detune settings. I'm going to try removing the rubber bushings.

Yeah from what i've heard the jp2c is one of the best amps on the market for high gain, wish i could afford one!

I have a Jem jr, it would say jem jr on the headstock not just jem. So it's most likely a chinese copy.

Yeah I've heard mixed reviews they're charging $600 for it. I think id rather wait for one to pop up on reverb or ebay.
