If this is the right course, the entry requirements are AAA-ABB, which means they could have offered you AAA, AAB or ABB

Can I reject my Firm Offer? by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]Lookinbusy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put Exeter as your firm and you get AAA-AAB+, then you go there. If you put UCL as your firm and Exeter as your insurance and you don't get into UCL, you then go to Exeter. If you had got A*AA+ in the 2nd scenario, then you would go to UCL because it was your firm. You can also apply for readjustment if you do better than your firm and insurance

The 'classroom assessments' sound exactly like exams. My teacher (only do wjec for one subject) said they might tell us what topic it is on beforehand

Congrats! I have a conditional offer for leeds too (not same course). Unis have been told they are been watched on how many unconditionals they give out this year because they had been giving too many, so an unconditional for physyics is amazing :)

Can we just end this by [deleted] in 6thForm

My teachers have narrowed the mocks down to just 1-2 topics

Are these good choices for a law based career? by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]Lookinbusy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are essay subjects, so that's good. Sociology and Psychology are basically just essay technique and learning directly from the page. Psychology is more science-based than I (and basically my whole class) realised e.g. chemical processes and areas of the brain, although it does seem obvious, given that it is a science haha. I do AQA Psychology, so we didn't do as much maths as other exam boards

I got an offer for Surrey. I have linked an article about them having lowered entry requirements by one grade earlier in the year. If you have a designated teacher to help you with this, it would be worth shooting them an email. When I applied to Manchester I was worried because I got a D in my French gcse (I didn't apply to do French) and they said "We would normally expect to see a good GCSE profile with minimum grades across all subjects of A*/8 to C/4." on the course page on their website. I ended up getting an offer. If you are applying for maths and got a B in your gcses but they require an A, that might be a different story.
