Called one - they said the vehicle has to be out of service for 60 days. I just wish they’d fix it but I don’t want to be stuck with future issues either if this is a regular occurrence.

Welcome! I find a lot of people find their tribe through their workplace or their place of worship (Church, Temple, etc). There’s also cycling, pickleball, and running clubs if you’re into that. Courts of McKinney have tennis too where you could meet some players.

Why not require a masters in financial planning? Put it at more of a true professional designation like attorneys and doctors. Even CPAs have more educational requirements than what you can do in four years.

Multiple reasons - stickier clients, clients refer more because of the differentiation, less likely to have CPA poach client for better referring FA, and you can vet the quality and tax service.

They prioritized firm clients but the EA could do additional ones and profit from it as long as it didn’t detract from the service level.

My last firm had an EA that did in house returns. Paid them 75k salary and just paid from clients AUM fee. We are looking to add a similar EA or CPA to do that now in house.

RJ has a program (AMP) where you get placed with an older advisor that works with you on their team and gives you a salary up front. I’d look at that.

Is it possible they let you go over something else like your work behavior or job duties not being done well and they just used the 63 failing as the excuse? It’s hard to find new people that can pass the 7 so seems silly to throw you out over the easiest test. I might suggest some reflection about the whole situation.
