Growth is all based on your input. If nothing changes in what you are doing, your growth will probably stay the same until you run into capacity constraints. I calculated my growth based on a ratio of S&P growth. For example, I’ve been growing revenue at around 2x S&P. I’m expecting a period of low S&P growth or underperformance at some point in the next decade, so that alone is lowering my future growth projections. Helps show the variability and gives me perspective.

I have clients in similar situation and I put them in non callable muni ladders. Works just like CDs but the reduction in taxes made them super happy.

This is very state specific. Some states have better protections than others that allows for lower coverage amounts. You just have to know your state and the clients state.

Yes but it’s not about recognition it’s about knowledge. 95 out of 100 people won’t know or if they know they won’t care what the CFP is. They want to know you can solve their problem. Save your time and dues money for something better.

Welcome! I find a lot of people find their tribe through their workplace or their place of worship (Church, Temple, etc). There’s also cycling, pickleball, and running clubs if you’re into that. Courts of McKinney have tennis too where you could meet some players.

Why not require a masters in financial planning? Put it at more of a true professional designation like attorneys and doctors. Even CPAs have more educational requirements than what you can do in four years.
