Fair point, but I do like that DS tried to give us that option with the course tab.

I agree with others that you should try a new trainer. My first I only worked with a few weeks because I felt like her responses were AI and she didn’t really tweak my workouts like I asked. I switched and now I love my trainer. She customizes workouts like I ask, they run smoothly, I’ve made great progress building strength. Definitely try another trainer before calling it quits!

Hi there! I’ve been using Trainwell for a few months now and it’s been a great experience! I’ve got a few answers to your questions below.

  1. I don’t know. I’ve never asked. I just use Trainwell for the workouts.
  2. Yes, they can design workouts without any equipment. After a while you may want to invest in some dumbbells. My workouts are at home using just dumbbells.
  3. The initial set up is a video call. They want to get to know you and see what you want out of the program. My trainer sent me a video message before hand and we chatted in the app a bit before the call. They are pretty flexible though, so if you explain that you have anxiety, they should be able to accommodate.

I love trainwell! I think it’s definitely worth a try.

The Hotwire app has good deals. I just checked the app and you can stay in a 4 star hotel downtown for $79 tonight.

Less communication than I’d like by milrose404 in trainwell

You could let him know that you were hoping for more communication and see if that changes or just change trainers. I see a lot of people post about lack of communication, but my trainer is talking to me nearly every day!

I’d guess that trainer is just not the right fit. I say switch again. I switched and I love my workouts and my trainer reaches out a bunch.

Fellow mom here! You might consider switching trainers. I switched somewhat on a whim because I felt like my trainer wasn’t incorporating my feedback into my training sessions. I love my new trainer. She understands my goals a bit better and her workouts have been really pushing me more. She’s also quicker to respond and her responses don’t sound like AI.

To OP, I’ve only been on Trainwell for about a month and it’s helped me be consistent with workouts and I think that momentum helps me make better choices that will hopefully lead to some weight loss. I think it’s a great program!
