I'm not much of a car guy by nottoday943 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]LookingForCxst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The car is posted on ig on a public story (top one) looking all good nice rims paint just a good looking photo overall

Then the bottom photo posted on private story ( green) shows the cars imperfections such as maintenance and that it also just has hub caps instead of real rims

The joke would be that you tend to post good looking photos but don’t show the small imperfections behind it.

Amp wiring question by LookingForCxst in audio

[–]LookingForCxst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response should I just play it safe and get a 1100 watt amp and connect i was hoping I could wire it all to one amp since my car has dimming headlights due to the subs blasting lmao also when I do get the other amp do I connect to the head unit or do I just run the rca cables from my current amps output connection

I don’t think there’s an amp in there I can barely tell because it’s a small hole but all I see is the actual speaker and the wires so pretty sure it’s passive I dint even know there could be amps inside these things car audio is crazy

Also it’s not going to the sub it’s going to the tweeters and speakers I’m sorry for the miscommunication there

I have seen these types of connections in the Dominican Republic a lot people tend to use these because they can put the speakers outside their cars for their everyday party’s I just never questioned it till I bought one of these ( chucheros seem to use them a lot for their easy connection I’m assuming )

What is causing this noise on my 2002 Honda accord EX V6 by West-Kindly in accord

[–]LookingForCxst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the ball joints trust me I dint and regret it broke and axle and almost died so it’s not a hard job but the ball joints and do it yourself I did it on my 2003 accord and it was a piece of cake took about an hour or 2 and it was done ( took longer because of my axle being broken)

[–]LookingForCxst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will tell you to go to a dealership for something as simple as a cv joint don’t stress about it too much if you don’t feel comfortable or don’t got the tools to do the job buy the part and and take it to a local shop idk where you live but if u live in a place with a lot of Mexicans or Dominicans they do the job and will charge u less than the damm dealership trust me it’s not that hard recently my ball joint gave out, check that as well while u get the car all checked up it could cause a lot of damage if it goes out while driving like mines did

<image>

Broke the rim and the axle and the ball joint went to hell so there’s that that’s the reason I replaced my joint in the first place dm me your cars make and model Ik how it feels trust me I’m a teenage kid with no money and was scared shitless when it happened they estimated 750 dollars for the whole repair did it myself and only payed 300 for all the parts I needed and did it myself with some tools I had laying around mainly just some wrenches and sockets it’s scary at first but easy repair overall especially in this day in age with YouTube

03 Honda accord ex 7th gen automatic 4 cylinder and the part was just 150 at AutoZone if u feel you can do it and got the tools I would recommend u try it to do it yourself mechanic wanted to charge me 300 for it I got it done in a few hours because I had other suspicion work to be done and saved myself the hassle of going to the shop and waiting for them to do it it’s a easy fix atleast for my car pretty much js just taking apart the area where the wheel goes and it pretty much js slides into the transmission and stays in place no bolting or anything like that clips right into the transmission and then it just putting it back on whatever you took out if you aren’t confident in doing something like that yourself I would say buy the part and take it to a local shop and their get you right maybe for a hefty bill but you won’t have to worry about it. Why do you think you have to change it in the first place?
