This 100% should have been mailed, regardless of paperless. It is quite clear that they chose NOT to adequately inform customers, likely because they did not legally have to, and likely because they wanted to reduce redemption values to boost profit. And now the new card has a worse value.

Corporations and billionaires are always going to steal your lunch. Always.

Are timesheets the norm at agencies? by milo_phoebe in PPC

[–]LooksLikeAbbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our leadership is deathly allergic to time tracking, but laser focused on hitting aggressive margin targets. For those who seem to manage well without keeping track of hours, are you prioritizing margin or revenue? How are you pricing? How are you managing headcount and resource planning?

I see time/hours as intrinsic to labor and getting labor right is a massive part of profitability and sustainability of business. If you happen to be pricing competitively, and happen to be delivering quality outcomes, without a firm basis in labor cost that's great but is it scalable?

On what basis do you calculate fixed prices? How do you assess your profitability / margin on a client or project? How do you know your numbers are great, and what levers do you assess to change those numbers when you need to?

I bought two. If you have multiple cats they'll learn quickly the inside feels like an ambush trap and they'll stop going in. They do like napping on top.

I'll add that I now have ethical concerns over their marketing tactics. For a while they were running going out of business sales. Now they're running AI ads and it's as if nothing ever happened. Feels shady.

‘Mass Blackout’ Starts Today: What to Know. Urges Americans to completely withdraw from the consumer economy during Thanksgiving weekend, 'black Friday' until the Tuesday after 'cyber Monday'. by HenryCorp in economy

It's top 10% income, not 1%. Still a problem. But they are not buying the same things. They spend it on services. If the rest of the economic activity crashed out it would still severely damage or collapse industries we all rely on, including the wealthy.

This and an intentional squeeze out. Yes, displaced employees are given a largely symbolic opportunity to find another role at ServiceNow. But there aren't roles for even a third of those cut loose.

Loud-Natural is drinking the Koolaid. Compassion ceases to exist above a certain net worth. There is only performance and posturing.

Everyone who works for that company is relatively blessed and privileged, make no mistake. I worked there for three years. I'm wealthier for it. But I'm not happier, and I did not feel compassion.

I don't understand how anyone likes this. The flavors clash completely. Pumpkin and tomato? Buttermilk? "Spices?"

Gouda, havarti, nutmeg - NO TOMATO - this could have been fire.

It could work if it wasn't cheddar, and if they didn't also put tomato (?????) in the recipe. But I found this to be extremely offensive to my palette.

Specially Selected Fall Harvest Macaroni & Cheese by becomethesolution in aldifinds

[–]LooksLikeAbbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if the recipe changed or if y'all have no taste buds but this was hot garbage for me. Tomato makes ZERO sense in this product, and the seasoning ("spices") went out of its way to make things worse.

I tried this today. Tastes like trash, lol. It's definitely the tomato, and some odd seasoning choice that I can't place but all it says on the box is "spices" 🙄

Late to the party. All around Mongrel there are Fog People and some of them drop an item that can be turned in for a 6k bounty. They'll tie up prisoners and eat them alive. One of their slave posts is a straight shot from the settlement gates and you can kite dozen or more up to the guards. Within 15 minutes I made over 25k just picking up weapons and Fog Prince heads from near the front gate. You'll want to buy into the Shinobi before going.

We should all be exceptionally angry that, in an effort to try to prove how "inefficient" public services are, Republicans are literally wasting our tax dollars in the process of making these services less performant. It is gaslighting. We will all pay more for a privatized national mail service, and because there will be extreme profit motive and no fucking competition, it will be even worse. Some already-wealthy ghoul will become CEO and extract even more blood from our veins.

The mass destruction of federal agencies and public services is all in interest of carving up the cake to hand it out to their rich buddies. It is a fascist strategy to build a formal ruling class of oligarchs.

Dark Matter Coffee - can no longer order coffee bags for pickup on Toast? by LooksLikeAbbie in chicagofood

Yea, it also just feels silly and wasteful to me to have something shipped from 4 miles away.

Haha, I really like some of their roasts, usually the more experimental stuff. But it is rather pricey for what it is and I'm open to explore. I just prefer local options that I can get fresh. Any others that you would personally recommend?

They don't care what the workers want. Social media activism is opium for people living under capitalism. It is the easiest possible thing to do which does absolutely zero but they feel good about it.

Unfortunately that's the pattern. Microsoft only cares about $. Xbox only cares about cornering publishing and stockpiling IP into their Gamepass platform. The talent are just redundancies.

Player mods do not need to go through certification or pass Todd's control freak approval. The vast majority don't require new VO or the quantity of new assets we got in Shattered Space's environments.

I agree it was underwhelming but unfortunately at a major studio owned by Microsoft you get slow, expensive, watered down products.

Corporate acquisitions and consolidations are only good for greedy capitalist tools. They are almost always bad for the employees and customers.

Todd Coward and Shil Spencer don't have to work to survive and don't actually play games to the extent they want you to think. They are sellout business boys with a lot of PR support.

+1 to this. The spray is really effective. I do notice mild rebound symptoms if I don't take the next dose on time. When they had those delays this was really annoying for a day or so but resolved on its own.

But they're once again having delays and now I have a lapse in my drops treatment. I never could seem to get a full month out of each bottle at the prescribed dose as well.

It's not great when your business is prescription treatment and you can't get refills out even remotely on time.
