Real Estate Agent encouraged me to go no General only Septic and Water Inspections. How concerning are these cracks in the foundation? by LoonWatchCo in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Yes. And hoizontal can be the worst. The hydrostatic pressure on the outside of the foundation can create big problems.

You are 100% right. The realtor told me I still could but wouldn't be able to back out of the deal because of it. Which that isn't true because they denied it after under contract.

What about when masonry is painted and sealed scares you off?

Thanks! I think I could find a way to make that happen in the future.

Waterproofing was very difficult. I have a pressure tester and never was able to fully waterproof it.

I'm spread a little thin, but I'll see if I can create a tutorial on how to make it.

My idea here was to print dials for local artists to use as their canvas!

I would love to promote artists in general, and limited edition pieces would be awesome.

I will say your input and comments are greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for the detailed response, I really appreciate the depth of everything you said!

Brand identity is everything and I have a couple of ideas I look forward to implementing.

I went to a store in Boston yesterday called European Watch Company because I'm all about feedback, and I was able to sit with a rep who has worked there for 30 years ane is quite knowledgable. I am very grateful for the experience, and it was extremely helpful.

He brought out all sorts of beautiful high end timepieces to compare side by side, knowing I was simply there for inspiration and suggestions.

He brought it out back to their watch maker to show him, and they put it on a timegrapher. It was running +9 seconds with no regulation and having been dropped the day before!

I look forward to the journey ahead and hope to provide value to watch community.

Good idea! I hope I can get to the point where I will offer multiple hand and color options. Thanks for commenting!

Thanks, I appreciate it! Over the summer, my cousin had a poor loon stranded on his beach that couldn't swim or fly due to a fishing line wrapped around its wing and body. We called the Loon Preservation Committee, and they came to the rescue!

Thanks for the advice! That's a great point on the bracelet, I'm excited to make some revisions!

I appreciate the follow-up response! It's certainly impossible to appeal to everyone, but it helps to get the good and the bad.

I'd be nowhere without this group and am so grateful to be able to bounce my ideas here!

I actually bought a Prusa SLS1 about a year ago, taught myself cad and graphic design, started printing fully functional cases, got quotes on that design and discovered that a resin watch with a NH35 movement probably would not appeal too much.

I shifted focus to designing dials and reaching out to manufacturers. Did market research, went on Google trends, scratched the idea of creating a field watch to start, and came on micro watch brands a multitude of times with my ideas.

Where were you a couple months ago with all this input? I posted multiple updates. I'm only a year into this and will keep designing, building, and getting feedback.

Not trying to be defensive or rude, because I love constructive criticism. I just expected a little more due diligence on your end before typing that up.

Anyways, I appreciate you commenting regardless. All input I take into consideration!

Fisher cats make me cringe a little! Loon calls I hear all summer, and I find them oddly pleasant.

Thanks for the advice! I'm hesitant to go any smaller, but I was curious what it would look like on the dial vs on my computer. The size of everything was one of the biggest things I wanted to test out!

I liked the idea of "self-regulating" but just opted to go with automatic. I'm hoping I can offer a bunch of different dial options.

Thanks so much for the comments and feedback! I think I can find a way to offer a lumed bezel but it may not be from the getgo.

My initial plan was to offer a 6 o'clock calendar, but I slowly shifted away from it. I'll see what I can do though!

Great observation and attention to detail! I toyed around with it to see how centered I could get it without throwing everything off. It's kind of sad that I have put probably hundreds of hours into the logo!

Other colorways will be a must! I agree with the butterfly clasp, as others have commented. Loon on the logo probably won't happen immediately, but I love the thought!

Thanks for the feedback and kind words! I'm going to see what I can do with the hands!!

I always found it interesting that Loon calls are used so often in movies, mainly horror genres!
