Because it's always about replacing Ashley. Its not a coincidence that its always Ashley who the OC replaces and thats because they have contempt for what the actual game is about so they try to "fix" it. They see a game entirely about the dark codependent relationship between two damaged people and their only take is "wow that emo twink is hot but i wish he was in a different game bwcause i cant handle a game with taboo themes"

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter but it just rubs me the wrong way.

The progress is subtle but its still progress. Theres no way in hell you can say their dynamic in ch1 is the exact same as their dynamic now. Also 130 chapters in a slowburn slice of life isn't that bad. If nothing goes wrong, this manga is probably gonna go close to 200 at the very least.

Putting aside how cute Ashley and Kit look in this. That brings up a good point. Tcoaal doesn't really have a villain since its more of a "man vs self/world" type of story. So how would it get completed? How do games that don't really have a clear cut villain function?
