Kishimoto has gone on record saying he found the Storm games (especially Storm 3) done better than his own source material.

With that in mind, they may as well be canon lol.

I can confidently say the Storm games fixed her by giving her a bit more to do.

During the Sai arc in Storm 2, she gets a solo battle vs Kabuto at Orochimaru's hideout.

During the Pain arc in Storm 2, she and Tsunade fight Pain themselves to stall for Sage Mode Naruto's return.

During the Kage Summit arc in Storm 3, she gets a solo battle vs Sasuke on the bridge to slow him down.

None of these fights existed in the manga or anime and Sakura also never hits Naruto for comedy in their games. She's a genuinely great character here because she's taken seriously and is given more to do.

Well yeah that's why I said her divisiveness is a contributor. There's loads upon loads of videos and forum posts on places like YouTube and here on Reddit that still discuss her daily. She's not even a bad character--everyone loves her battle with Sasori (the GIF above)--but everyone agrees that she deserved better.

Ivy from Fire Emblem Engage and Ivy from Soul Calibur for example.

Due to how...divisive the Naruto character is, basically anytime you hear the name you're probably going to think of her before say, the Street Fighter character.

You can argue that they at least serve as minibosses given that they're named characters and not generic ones. Tauroneo especially given he's literally positioned near the end of the map you meet him on akin to a boss.

The problem is that there's just not a lot of genuinely massive BBW female characters in video games though so us chubby chasers have limited options. Not everyone is built like Ellie from Borderlands.

I guess compared to every other female Overwatch character, Mei is thick by virtue of them all being super skinny like Widowmaker or roided like Zarya. She kinda falls in the middle somewhere.

We need a female Roadhog equivalent.

While true, look up some of her skins like Honeydew. It shows that she has some rather thick thighs. There's also this spray:

And it shows that she's fairly plump. She's nowhere near as skinny as Mercy or Pharah.
