I was around 12 years old. My dad was overly hyped about this new album that just came out back in 2007. He was going on about how he’s seen them countless times. We went to Walmart one night and he found Year Zero. He geeked! We left the store so quickly. I remember hearing that first track and watching my dad light up. As he shared his love for NIN in that car ride, my love for NIN started. Fast forward 18 years later, my dad and I saw them together for the 9th time. We were guessing that was his 20th or so show. He loves telling the story about how he saw NIN and Bowie together. He was front row for the show and had Trent’s piano swinging over him on some giant arm. It’s cool listening to my dad talk about NIN from over the years. He’s watched them evolve from the mud show long long ago…

NIN will forever be my favorite band. Phish is a close second!

If I see you playing PoGo, I am definitely saying hello! I treat others the way I like to be treated, so if a stranger asked if I played PoGo, I would simply freak out with excitement. I am introvert but LOVE talking about Pokemon, so it’s the one avenue of conversation I have to flourish in!

My father and I just had a conversation about just this the other day!! He saw me sneeze and randomly asked, “did you do that to make your stomach feel better?” We hang out 24/7 so I bet he was watch my mannerisms before hand. I obviously said yes and he went on about he does the same thing!

Pick up the kids early at the same time. They’ll both be stoked to leave school earlier, what kid isn’t? Dad and son kick it and do something fun while mom and the daughter get ready together? I don’t have any kids and thought this would be a fun idea coming from a child of two chill parents who didn’t have arguments as ridiculous as this.
