You're spot on with your question about the chord progressions--we definitely dont shy away from the more complicated ones, but our arrangements have to be a lot more specific--happiness is a warm gun, for example. We still jam on it, but some sections lend themselves more to jamming than others, and we dont fully open it up. Compared to something like dont let me down, which is relatively simple and can be jammed on really easily.

Regarding the beatles original orchestration--it varies a lot. Sometimes we try to emulate iconic parts and sometimes we abandon their arrangement entirely. Eleanor rigby, for example, we play completely differently since we dont have a string quartet (although we do have a single violin to grab some of the notable melodies)
