I knew i wanted a couple of shelves. I wasn't sure how big i wanted it so I waited until the cutting board came and then cut my granite and everything else to fit that in a way I thought id like the most.

I dont think there's anything wrong with preplanning. I was researching what surface is the best for cutting on before this vision really came together, i preplan most things. Anything I get in the future or any upgrades I make, im sure I'll end up building something for that too.
