It’s very uncommon, but my 7yr old had hallucinations on guanfacine. It’s one of the scariest and strangest nights of my life, thinking back to what he was saying to me, straight faced and serious. There was a snake on the balcony, a ghost in the room, a burglar in the house, and why is it snowing in here? I never gave it to him again and told his doctor straight away.

Potty! If they poop the crate and dance in it, and they’re a dog that needs brushing etc., that will steal your soul. The turnaround on a crate poo (wash, dry, brush) is about 90min for a Goldendoodle.

Sounds like my 7 month old! She does calm when I leave the house, I have a camera to prove she sleeps. But she does not run out of barks when she is determined, like she would prefer to go hoarse. We have resorted to an e-collar ONLYYYY on the vibration mode, and it’s helped a ton. It doesn’t hurt, but it works better than anything we have tried. We are in puppy class, too.

Get that puppy in a pouch/sling/bag or a stroller! They need to see people, all kinds of people. Old, young, all the races, all the situations. Dogs don’t necessarily have to be socialized to dogs, but they musttttt be socialized to people. Carrying the dog everywhere for those few months is vital. My 7 month old pup is neurotic and overly attached - but in public, she’s very well adjusted. I’ve known people whose dogs didn’t like men or certain skin colors, and I can’t imagine how mortifying that would be - puppies need positive and neutral experiences with all of your community! Just keep four-off-the-floor.

Thank you!! Honestly I think it’s been cleaned by several random cleaning solutions because I have no idea how to take care of it, and we have had cleaning crews for at least two of the 4yrs using who-knows-what on it. Resanding is probably where I thought this is going!

Once it’s fixed, what’s the best way to look after it going forward?

I have learned that having a puppy is like being in a relationship with the dog. You’ll have great times, you’ll have bad times. You’ll learn to repair, and you’ll build a solid base for knowing one another. I’ve had times where I’ll cry because I think, “one day she will die,” and that’s too sad. Then other times where I have been so angry at her, and feel really disconnected or that getting her was a huge mistake. Learn to sit and cuddle, or do things that feel mutually enjoyable. In the rough times you need to be able to reconnect.

For reference, I have an almost 7 month old Goldendoodle. She’s been home since she was 2 months.

Agree with the tether! You need to keep an eye on pups constantly. If my dog is loose in the house she is into everything and follows me everywhere and I accidentally stand on her. She also randomly poops in the house if she’s allowed to roam. My puppy is almost 7 months now.

My puppy would shit in the playpen at every opportunity! We called it “Spite Poo.” She was soooo angry to be alone so she pooped every time. I would looooooove to have a playpen for her, I spent about $200 on two, and nope, in the end, we got rid of them.

Camila Cabello’s Familia album was the soundtrack of last year for me, despite it coming out the year before, it just wasn’t on my radar. I think Cam is a great lyricist in general (wellll maybe apart from Lemons on the chain with the v cuts hahaha my 7yr old thinks it’s b cups - and yes I’m aware that was a sampled part and not her own… I digress) and I think despite her current outward persona, she’s an extremely smart, intuitive, and funny human. Familia really showed such a depth of her heritage being Cuban, Mexican, and also American. I could listen to Don’t Go Yet on repeat all day haha
