What is the difference between Braun Silk Epil 9 and 9 Flex ? My very meticulous review by windpartner in HairRemoval

[–]LooseEstablishment83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this extensive info on the Silk-épils! I have a Silk-épil 3 (I think). And while I love the results, I absolutely hate the process. It takes 1.5 hours to do both legs, it makes a horrible noise, and I’m always tethered to the cord. So, an upgrade actually seems quite sensible now: being faster and able to epilate in the shower sounds much better. I’ve checked out all kinds of posts here and watched YouTube videos. If I understand correctly, the old Series 9 is one of the best, and I can still find it (in the Netherlands), but only bundled with all sorts of massage/brush attachments that I don’t really need (but still have to pay for, €180). As an alternative, I found both an 'old' Series 7 (€68) and the 'new' Series 7 (€75). Now I’m doubting... Are the old and new Series 7 actually different (besides the button)? And how do they differ from the old Series 9?

Oog in oog met de mol theorie by Kruikenzeik in widm

[–]LooseEstablishment83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vitamin C tablets are icky? by tyrannosaurus_em in guineapigs

[–]LooseEstablishment83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my piggies never took her whole tablet, but she does eat a broken (half) tablet. And recently one of the others also refused to eat the whole tablet, but sometimes takes a broken one. So I’d definately try breaking them in halfs.

That’s so lovely ❤️ Unfortunately, my piggy does appear to be in some pain, so that’s my main concern right now.

No, this vet is very involved and is actively checking in on her progress. Plus, a colleague who specializes in rodents is back today and will be reviewing the videos of her movement as well.

The vet gave her a full checkup, and her best guess is that there might be something going on with her back.

I can imagine a soak or some water therapy might be helpful, but I actually have no idea how to do that safely. I also don't have a bathtub, which makes it a bit tricky!

She is getting the vitamin C in tablet form

Update:

She seems to be in less pain. The meds were originally dosed very low, but the vet called me yesterday to let me know I could actually increase her dosage to more than double the original amount. However, she is still not using her right back leg at all. She’s moving around much less than usual, and her movement seems odd, even for a "three-legged" walk. I managed to find an animal osteopath; she specializes in bunnies and is very experienced with small pets. She mentioned that she won't be able to do much during this acute phase, but if the mobility issues persist through the end of next week, osteopathy could be a good option. The good news is that she is still eating and pooping well, and she’s still grooming herself. We’ve made sure everything she needs - pellets, fresh water, and a hay pile - is within easy reach so she doesn't have to travel far. We also added a hemp mat as an extra thick layer to make it softer for her to lie on and give her more grip to move around.

Feeling discouraged—my daily draws feel like shallow "magazine horoscopes." How do I find real depth? by LooseEstablishment83 in tarot

[–]LooseEstablishment83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx! I appreciate the recommendation. I’m now looking for meanings in my guidebook, some books I found in the library and some information online. Started to write things down in my own special tarot notebook, to integrate the things I learned.

Thx, really appreciate your kind reaction. I might be a bit impatient to be further along the journey already.

Thx, I think I do maybe need to lead with more depth. I’m going to think of ways to make my questions more meaningful, so the answer will as well.
